"If this were some petty drama, it would be one thing, but she's broken the law. I imagine the Carter family already knows she's involved?"

Ethan nodded. "You had Jeremy look into it, so he obviously knows. That means the Carter family definitely has the intel."

Stephanie hummed in approval. "Exactly. So, keep your hands out of it. You've bailed them out enough times in the past. But when it crosses into criminal territory, you cannot intervene. I'm just terrified you'll get soft and try to save her again."

"Even though Isabella hasn't shown any signs of taking you back, she's at least civil to you now."

"If you help Natalie after this, Isabella will completely wipe you from her existence."

Ethan stayed quiet for a moment before replying, "Grandma, I'm done helping Natalie. This is a felony. She is definitely colluding with the mastermind behind all this, and she did it specifically to destroy Isabella."

"Isabella knows about it, too. She actually started having the dreams before I did. The only difference is her timeline stops right after our divorce—when she was kidnapped, tortured, disfigured, and murdered, her body dumped in the middle of nowhere."

"My dreams align perfectly with hers, except mine continued. I saw everything that happened after she died."

Stephanie exhaled sharply. "...Is that why she was so desperate to divorce you?"
