"Head over to the shopping street on the East Loop and wait for Natalie at the entrance. She said she’s out shopping there."
That street was the most crowded and glamorous spot in the city. Every big brand had a store there. The rich came to spend, and the not-so-rich liked to stroll around just to window shop. Even if you couldn’t afford anything, it was still fun to look.
Isabella knew Natalie would have Ethan call her eventually.
"I’m not going. Who said I’m bored at home? I’m in my studio, working. I’m insanely busy."
"Isabella, don’t you still want actors for your web series?"
Isabella went quiet.
"I don’t even like shopping," she finally said, changing the subject. "That whole street is filled with luxury stores. I can’t afford anything there. Watching her buy stuff would just make me jealous."
Ethan couldn’t help himself. "With all the money you’ve gotten from me, what can’t you buy?"
"I put all my cash into the series and the shop. I have nothing left for shopping sprees."
"If you need money, just say it. No need to dance around it."
Ethan was so frustrated he wanted to crawl through the phone and strangle her. He honestly didn’t get when she became so obsessed with money. She never used to care about it at all.
"If I ask directly, you’ll just accuse me of being greedy."
"Just go shopping with Natalie. Send me your location. I’ll have my secretary bring you a card. Use that."
Instead of another transfer, Ethan told his secretary to take Isabella a high-limit credit card. She could buy whatever she wanted. No way she could max it out, right?
"That works for me. But just so you know, I’m buying whatever catches my eye. And since you’re the one sending me, if anything happens to her, you can’t blame me."
"I’m not sure. She said something at the beach that made it sound like she might be."
"Early pregnancy is risky. She needs to rest, not walk all over the place. She could lose the baby if she’s not careful."
Ethan was silent for a while, turning it over in his mind. In the end, he said, "Forget it. Focus on your work. I’ll tell Natalie you’re busy and suggest she take someone else."
He also made a mental note to warn Natalie about overdoing it. If she really was pregnant, she should definitely be taking it easy.
"You know, your secretary could still bring me that card," Isabella added, not missing a beat. "I wouldn’t mind putting it to use."
Ethan hung up on her.
Isabella glared at her phone. "Seriously? Stingy. He can’t even give me one little card."

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
