Keith looked at Ethan for a moment before speaking again. “I know you and Natalie have been close since you were kids. That’s why I wanted to give you a heads up about all this.”
“If the embryo really stopped developing, Natalie’s going to have to end the pregnancy. Jordan and Natalie have been married for a while now. They finally got pregnant, and now something like this happens.”
“They’re going to be heartbroken. When the time comes, maybe you can be there for them. They’re still young. They’ll have other chances. They shouldn’t let this destroy them.”
Ethan was stunned. He never expected something to go wrong with Natalie’s pregnancy.
He asked, “Why would the baby stop developing? Both Natalie and Jordan are healthy.”
Keith shrugged. “I’m not really sure. Could be genetics, could be something else. Honestly, I’ve never been a dad, so I have no idea.” He only knew what his sister had told him, and he figured Ethan would want to know, given how much he cared about Natalie.
Ethan fell silent, his brows furrowed in thought. He didn’t ask anything else.
“Mr. Adams, I’ll get back to work now.”
Keith left the room.
Ethan had completely lost interest in working. His mind kept drifting back to Jordan and Natalie, how crushed they must feel.
Harold was right. He deserved to be chewed out.
He’d treated Isabella horribly yesterday. He never stopped to think about how she might feel. She and Natalie were basically rivals, and she was his wife, but just because Jordan called, he insisted Isabella cook for another woman.
He got up and walked to the window, pulled out a pack of cigarettes, and lit one. He smoked one after another, not even keeping track, before finally turning back to his desk. He sat down, picked up his phone, and called Jordan.
When Jordan answered, Ethan went straight to the point. “Jordan, I heard from Keith that Natalie’s baby isn’t developing and she might have to end the pregnancy. Is that true?”
He added, “Keith’s sister is married and pregnant. She ran into Natalie at the hospital for a checkup. Natalie doesn’t know her, but she overheard Natalie talking to the doctor and mentioned it to Keith.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
