Isabella gave him a look that said, Are you for real? Ethan just blinked at her, all innocence, as if to say, Why would I lie? Everything I said is true.
Honestly, buying her a dozen sets of diamond jewelry barely made a dent in his wallet. If there was one thing Ethan had, it was money. His personal fortune was over ten billion. Jordan used to complain, half-joking but mostly jealous, that the entire Lane family wasn’t even worth as much as Ethan alone. And that was before you even counted the Adams family fortune. Ethan was set to inherit a big chunk of that too, which would send his net worth skyrocketing. The guy worked so much he hardly had time to spend any of it.
Ethan’s smooth talk finally won Cynthia over, so she joined them for lunch. Right after eating, she excused herself. She called the butler to check on Natalie, found out Natalie had headed to her parents' place for the afternoon, and hurried home to pack. She booked a flight for that evening, then rang Jackson to tell him she was going on a spontaneous trip. Jackson couldn’t have been happier. He told her to have fun, wired her extra money, and said she should buy whatever she liked, no need to be frugal.
Ethan came out of the hotel a little later, but his driver had disappeared.
At first, Isabella didn’t notice. She just walked toward her car, but when she realized Ethan was trailing behind, she turned and asked, “We’ve already eaten. Why are you following me?”
“My driver just texted,” Ethan said, looking a bit helpless. “He had an emergency and left. Could you drive me back to the office?”
Driver: Mr. Adams, as you said, I’ll leave whenever I see you with Isabella.
Ethan: Perfect. You’re doing a great job.
Isabella raised an eyebrow. “Why didn’t he leave you the keys? Don’t you have a spare?”
“Nope.”
“I can’t,” she answered right away. “The second series starts filming tomorrow, and that’s Friday. I have to be on set all weekend.”
He’d never brought her to the Adams Estate while they were dating. Even now, after more than a month of marriage, she still hadn’t been there. People loved to gossip, saying she wasn’t accepted and that it was just a matter of time before they’d divorce. In her previous life, she’d dreamed of stepping foot in that estate, the ultimate symbol of the Adams family’s power, but she died without ever seeing it.
Now, she didn’t care anymore. Letting go of Ethan meant letting go of any desire to be a part of his family.
Ethan pressed on, “The director and Laura will be there. You don’t have to be on set all the time. We haven’t visited Grandma in ages, and she really does like you.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
