Ethan said sorry for interrupting, but he had no plans to leave. He just made himself at home in the office, waiting for Isabella. With him hanging around, there was no way Isabella could get any work done, especially with Harold and Barbara there too.
Eventually, the whole group headed out for lunch at The Cabinda Hotel.
At the table, Ethan, who was usually the one being waited on, was suddenly the most attentive person there. He kept piling food onto Isabella’s plate. When the seafood arrived, he actually peeled shrimp for her, even picked out pieces of crab and put them right in front of her.
Isabella couldn’t remember anyone getting that kind of special treatment from Ethan, except maybe Natalie.
She tried to protest, saying she could manage on her own, but Ethan ignored her, fussing over her like it was the most natural thing in the world. He looked like he would have fed her with a spoon if he could.
After lunch, Laura got the hint and went home to work on her writing. Harold and Barbara left too, but Ethan stuck close to Isabella, following her right back to the studio.
Harold and Barbara ended up sharing a car. Barbara drove, and as soon as Harold got in, any trace of a smile disappeared from his face.
“Harold,” Barbara said, “it’s just us now. Let’s talk honestly.”
“Do you like Isabella?”
Harold didn’t answer right away. He looked like he was trying to figure out his own feelings. After a long pause, he finally said, “I never disliked her.”
“Come on, Harold. I want the truth.”
“I don’t know,” Harold admitted. “I just know I don’t dislike her. When I found out why Ethan really married her, I felt bad for her. She deserves more.”
Harold opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He couldn’t deny that he had feelings for Isabella. He wasn’t stupid. Even if he didn’t want to admit it, deep down he knew exactly what those feelings meant.
“If you really care about her, stay away. Don’t cause her problems or ruin her reputation.”
“I can see Isabella’s changed a lot. I don’t think she’s going to stay in a loveless marriage with Ethan forever.”
“All you need to do is wait. Wait until she divorces Ethan and she’s single again. Then you can tell her how you feel and go after her for real.”
“You could even wait at the courthouse. As soon as they sign the divorce papers, you can let her know.”
“But for now, you have to stay away from Isabella. She’s still Ethan’s wife, and your feelings will only hurt her at this point.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
