She’d worked so hard to get to where she was. No way would she believe Isabella wasn’t anxious. Once they had something on her, they could ask for whatever they wanted, and Isabella would just have to give in.
Instead of heading back to the studio, Isabella went straight to The Adams Group.
When Ethan heard she was coming, he was over the moon. He was right in the middle of a meeting, but he handed everything over to Keith without a second thought and walked out of the conference room with a grin that practically lit up the whole place.
The higher-ups watched him leave, eyes following him all the way until he was out of sight. Only then did they look away, sharing a few quick glances with each other.
Mr. and Mrs. Adams were seriously relationship goals. The way Mr. Adams dropped everything just to see his wife, looking all happy and lovestruck, was straight out of a romance movie.
Ethan waited by the elevator for Isabella to come up. If his secretary hadn’t told him she was already in the elevator, he probably would have gone down himself to meet her at the door.
She was coming to see him on her own. Maybe she was bringing him some snacks? That was usually how it went. Sometimes in the afternoons, Isabella would bring him some fruit or pastries. Even though he wasn’t big on sweets, he never turned her down. Whenever she brought something, he’d always eat a piece or two right in front of her. Back then, when he was trying to win her over, he knew he had to show he cared. Otherwise, how could he have convinced her to say yes in just three months?
The elevator doors slid open.
Isabella looked a little surprised to see Ethan waiting there. As she stepped out, she said, “Weren’t you in a meeting?”
“My secretary said you were here, so I let Keith handle it,” Ethan replied, smiling.
He noticed she was only carrying her purse, nothing else. So, no snacks today. That stung a little, but he didn’t show it. He just walked her to his office like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Ethan let out a quiet sigh of relief. His eyes lingered on her face, warm and intense, his voice low and smooth. “So, what did you want to tell me?”
He sat down across from her, posture perfect. He looked incredible in his black suit and tie, every feature just right. Honestly, if he claimed to be the second most handsome man in Cabinda, nobody would dare say they were first.
As Isabella studied him, Ethan started winking at her. Then he winked again. He was totally trying to flirt.
“Ethan, is your eye twitching or something? What’s with all the winking? If you’re not feeling well, maybe you should see a doctor.”
Ethan just stared at her, completely speechless. He was trying to be charming, but all she saw was a health problem.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
