Ethan didn’t go home right away. He was on his way when Frank called, telling him Isabella’s short drama was doing pretty well. It wasn’t a runaway hit, but it was making money.
“How much do you think she’ll make?” Ethan asked.
Frank sounded thoughtful. “Too soon to tell. We need to see how things go over the next few days, especially with the final payment numbers. The marketing costs were high, so if I had to guess, Isabella’s studio might pull in a million or two. Maybe more. But she only owns twenty-five percent, and whatever comes in gets split between her and her partners.”
“So after all that work, she’ll just get a few hundred thousand?” Ethan pressed.
“That’s about right,” Frank replied. “That’s based on what I’m seeing in the industry. These short dramas are fast money, like takeout. Isabella’s studio has already shot a few series, all kinds of genres. If they can keep releasing new shows every month and each one turns a profit, they could easily make over ten million a year. That’s more than what a lot of companies make. But if the series tanks, the losses pile up just as fast.”
Frank paused, then added, “Honestly, I think this industry is worth a try in the short term.”
Ethan shrugged, not really interested. “I don’t care about that world. But if you want to give it a shot, go ahead. It’s your call.”
Frank laughed. “I was worried you’d tell me to back off, maybe think I’d steal Isabella’s thunder.”
“In business, it’s all about skill,” Ethan said, calm as ever. “If she can fight her way through, that’s her talent. If not, she gets swallowed up. That’s just how it goes.”
Frank chuckled. “Hearing you say that makes me feel better.” He still didn’t have much faith in the long-term future of these dramas, but it was easy money for now. He wasn’t the only one who could smell opportunity. Once everyone jumped in, competition would get fierce and profits would shrink.
“Where’s Isabella?” Ethan asked.
“Ethan, you showed up empty-handed?” Jesse teased. “You should at least bring your wife some flowers to celebrate her new series doing so well.”
Ethan glanced at the flowers. “Those are nice. Where’d you get them?”
Jesse had a thing for Laura, and even though she’d turned him down, he still chased after her whenever he got the chance.
“I picked them up at the flower shop down the street,” Jesse replied. “Want me to show you where it is?”
Ethan nodded and went back to his car to get some flowers. The money Isabella made from her drama didn’t mean much to him, but for her, it was a huge deal. Before they got married, she was working at a small company, barely making a few thousand a month. This was her win, and he figured she deserved a little celebration.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
