Ethan and Isabella were rock solid. There was just no way they were getting divorced. Sure, Ethan’s family had status, but Mia’s wasn’t any less impressive. She had zero interest in getting involved in their marriage just because Jennifer wanted her to.
When Mia met Isabella, she immediately shoved Jennifer’s plan out of her mind. Even if Ethan and Isabella split up one day, Mia wouldn’t even consider him. Dealing with Jennifer as a mother-in-law would be a disaster. Honestly, she’d much rather play the role of Jennifer’s daughter. At least that way, she wouldn’t be the target of all those sneaky tricks.
“Everyone played house when they were little,” Isabella said with a laugh, brushing off the jokes about Mia and Ethan’s childhood antics.
“Mia?” Sophia looked over, clearly confused. Wasn’t Mia supposed to be here to make things difficult for Isabella?
Mia slipped her a quick pinch, a silent hint to drop the subject.
“Isabella, are you feeling okay?” Mia noticed Isabella seemed tired, and there was the faint scent of medicine in the air. She guessed Isabella had just taken something.
“I drank too much last night,” Isabella admitted, not trying to hide it. “Ethan was worried, so he called the family doctor. I just took some medicine before you got here.” She really didn’t look well.
Mia gave her a knowing smile. “Hangovers are the worst. I guess I picked the wrong day to visit and messed up your rest. You should go lie down. Sophia and I will get out of your hair. Next time you’re feeling better, I’ll take you out to dinner.”
“You just got back from abroad, Ms. Clark,” Isabella said politely. “Ethan and I should be the ones treating you. Let me check with him and see when he’s free, then we’ll take you out for a proper welcome dinner.”
Once they were driving away from the villa, Sophia let out a snort. “So what was that, Mia? Are you just giving in to Isabella? Or do you really think you can’t compete with her? I get it, though. She’s younger, prettier. Honestly, you and Natalie together couldn’t match up to her.”
Isabella usually didn’t bother with makeup, but if she did, no one could deny she was stunning. Sophia couldn’t help but envy her looks.
Mia kept her eyes on the road. “Isabella and Ethan make a great couple. And you’re right, I’m not as young or as beautiful as she is.”
Sophia glared at her. “Mia, do you seriously not get what my mom and your mom are trying to do? Are you just giving up without even trying?”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
