“She’s got the nerve to call me shameless? Your wife’s the real shameless one. She married you, but she’s still hanging on to Mr. Adams. The second she sees him treating Mrs. Adams nicely, she gets jealous and starts scheming.”
“She wants it all. Sure, I’m not perfect, but at least I’m loyal to Jackson. You’re something else though. Your wife is making it so obvious she wants Mr. Adams, and you don’t even care. You just let her chase after your best friend.”
“What, are you hoping to share her with your buddy? Not that Mr. Adams would even go for it. What’s wrong with Mrs. Adams anyway? She’s way better than your wife. Prettier, more put together, everything.”
Cynthia went to Deborah herself and calmly offered to step aside. She didn’t make a scene, she just insisted on a divorce. Since Cynthia was giving up her place for her, Deborah felt grateful and started to speak up for Isabella.
Deborah was Jackson’s woman. She’d always been his secret lover, but Jackson spoiled her, and there was nothing about the Lane family she didn’t know.
She knew full well that Jordan and Natalie never respected Cynthia and made things hard for Isabella too.
Unlike Cynthia, Deborah wasn’t so easygoing. Cynthia and Jackson didn’t have kids, so Cynthia had nothing to fight for. Deborah wasn’t like that. She had a son.
She was ready to fight for everything.
She didn’t just want a part. She wanted the whole Lane Group.
“You!” Jordan was so angry, he slapped her without thinking.
Deborah didn’t move, just took the hit straight on.
She covered her face, which was already swelling, pushed open the door to Jackson’s office, and stumbled inside, crying.
“Jackson, Jordan and Natalie hit me. They each slapped me, look, both sides of my face are swollen.”
