"Isabella can't be dead. She can't be. She's dead... she's really dead..."
Ethan collapsed onto the sofa, hands covering his face.
He had to face it now. Isabella was gone.
All he could do was pour everything he had into finding out who was responsible.
The Adams family pulled every string, using all their people and resources, and with the police helping, it only took three days to find a few suspects. But right as the police were about to arrest them, the suspects tried to escape in a car, crashed, and all of them died.
Just like that, the trail ran cold. No one knew who was really behind the murder. The suspects were desperate men, all orphans with no family left. They’d taken a huge payout to kidnap Isabella, but whoever hired them had covered their tracks completely. For now, there was no way to find out who it was.
After the crash, the police checked the seven-seater van the men had used and found out someone had messed with it. Someone wanted to make sure they’d never make it out alive, that there’d be no one left to talk. Whoever was behind this had to be powerful, careful, and ruthless. Every detail was handled so cleanly that it was impossible to find a weak spot.
With the killers dead, Isabella’s body was set to be cremated. That was when Ethan suddenly remembered Cynthia. No one had told her about Isabella.
But news like this spread fast. The whole city already knew Mrs. Adams had been kidnapped and murdered. There was no way Cynthia hadn’t heard.
The butler came out, half-carrying a pale and shaken Natalie.
“Natalie, are you okay? Who did the ambulance take?” Ethan hurried over, concern all over his face. “What happened? Where’s Jordan?”
“Ethan…” Natalie’s voice was shaky. She grabbed his hand, her own hand cold and trembling. Her eyes were red, and she could barely speak. “Cynthia… she… she jumped from the building…”
“It’s my fault. I knew Isabella was being cremated today, so I was getting things ready to burn for her. I didn’t hide them well enough, Cynthia found out, and I had to tell her about Isabella.” Natalie’s voice broke. “She fainted right away. The butler and I got her back to her room. While she was unconscious, we went downstairs. We didn’t stay with her… We should have. It’s my fault.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
