Isabella handed Laura her phone and sighed. “Let’s promise each other right now, we are never going over to the White family’s house. It’s not just Linda and her warm welcome waiting for us. It’s her fifteen brothers too.”
Laura cracked up. “Come on, with brothers like that, Linda shouldn’t worry. Every single one of them could get married in a heartbeat if they wanted. She’s just stressing herself out.”
“Douglas even says he already likes someone.”
Isabella shook her head. “Honestly, I think they just use Linda as an excuse. It gets their parents off their backs about settling down. Linda actually believes them, so she’s always freaking out about her brothers’ relationships.”
“I wonder who Douglas likes. I’ve never heard any rumors about him and anyone. The only gossip is how he and Ethan can’t stand each other.”
In her last life, Isabella had never even heard about Douglas getting married. She had no clue who he ended up with.
Laura leaned in and lowered her voice. “Isabella, what if Douglas actually likes guys? Like, what if he has a thing for Ethan? Maybe he loves him but can’t have him, so he just wants to ruin him?”
Isabella stared at her. Where did Laura even get these wild ideas?
“No way,” Isabella said, laughing. “Those two are just enemies in business. There’s nothing romantic there. Douglas is just a regular guy as far as anyone knows. I’ve never heard about him liking any man or woman. And Ethan is even more obvious. He only has eyes for Natalie. There’s no way there’s some secret love triangle.”
Laura realized how crazy her theory sounded and let out a sheepish laugh. “Yeah, you’re right. I’m way overthinking it. The world of rich people is just too weird for us.”
“I wonder what Deborah and my mom are talking about,” Isabella said, suddenly distracted. She really wanted to sneak out and listen, but that felt a little too rude. Still, the curiosity was intense.
Isabella squeezed in next to Laura to see for herself. Sure enough, Cynthia and Deborah were too far away. There was no chance of overhearing anything.
“Forget it,” Isabella said with a sigh. “I’ll just ask my mom when she gets back.”
With no other choice, Isabella crawled back into bed to rest.
Meanwhile, Deborah and Cynthia’s conversation was surprisingly calm. Both of them were collected and there was no yelling or drama.
Cynthia felt like everything had already been settled. She and Jackson were getting divorced. She’d gotten her settlement. Jackson wasn’t her husband anymore, so what was the point of fighting? From the moment she found out about his affair, Cynthia had never wanted a big scene. When a man cheats, arguing is useless. The smart thing is to stay calm, gather evidence, file for divorce, and split things up. If his heart’s already gone, shouting will only make him resent you more. It’s better to end things peacefully. Once a man stops caring, he won’t put up with you anymore. Fighting might even lead to something worse.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
