“I’m coming over right now.”
Jennifer was honestly getting fed up. It wasn’t just the way Isabella snapped at her, it was also Sophia’s sneaky act. She said she was taking an etiquette class, but in reality, she was off causing trouble for Isabella.
After complaining to Jennifer, Isabella immediately called Ethan. “Ethan, get over to my coffee shop and sort Sophia out. I’m serious. If you don’t get her under control and she keeps barging in here to pick fights, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
She hung up before Ethan could get a word in. Without another thought, she grabbed her keys and got on the road. Ethan tried calling her twice, but she ignored it. She was driving and honestly, she just didn’t want to deal with him right then.
Back at Hearthside Coffee, Sophia was making a scene. “Bring Isabella here. I want to see her drink this cup of coffee in front of me. If she can finish it, I’ll admit your coffee’s fine.”
Laura kept her cool and spoke gently. “Sophia, what exactly is wrong with our coffee? Why do you say it’s undrinkable? Since we opened, everyone who’s had our coffee loved it. Are you just here to stir up trouble?”
Sophia leaned back in her chair, acting like she owned the place. “I don’t care what you say. I want to see Isabella and I want her to drink this coffee. Your pastries are fine, I have no complaints there, but this coffee is just disgusting. There’s something weird about it.”
Laura picked up the cup and smelled it. “Weird? It smells like every other coffee to me.”
“If you really think so, then make me a new cup. And I’m not paying for it.”
“Sophia, we’ve already made you two new cups, both free. What do you expect from us? Every time, you take a sip, call it terrible, and demand another free one. You’re doing this on purpose.”
Laura watched as Sophia picked up the cup she’d been complaining about and brought it to her lips. Laura couldn’t tell if she actually drank any.
But Sophia wasn’t drinking it. She’d just changed seats so nobody could see her clearly. In her hand, hidden from view, was a little packet of powder Natalie had given her. Natalie promised her that, if Isabella drank it, she’d embarrass herself in front of everyone.
Sophia’s purse also had a packet of itching powder, just in case she wanted to make things even worse for Isabella.
Her plan was simple: wait for Isabella, make her drink the coffee laced with the powder, then, for good measure, throw the itching powder on her. That way, Isabella would be humiliated and miserable, all at once.
Sophia pretended to sip from the cup, but really, she was just using the moment to dump the powder in and swirl it around so it dissolved completely.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
