Isabella didn’t even hesitate. “Don’t you have chefs and staff for that?”
Ethan replied, “Natalie says you’re an amazing cook. She really wants to try your food. Come back, have dinner with us, and then we can walk along the beach together.”
So that was it. Isabella could just imagine Natalie whispering to Ethan, and she silently cursed them both a thousand times. Out loud, she said, “I’m not coming back yet. I’m flying kites and I made a bet with some kids. If I leave now, I lose, and then I’ll have to buy everyone snacks.”
“Tell Natalie if she wants my cooking so badly, I’ll just open a restaurant one day. She can eat there every day if she wants, but she’ll have to pay. I’m running a business, not a charity.”
“Isabella Lane!” Ethan’s voice dropped low, a clear warning.
But she didn’t care. She wasn’t that woman who used to hang on his every word.
“Ethan, aren’t you a good cook too? Didn’t you learn just for Natalie? Why don’t you help out and show off a little? She’d love it.” Her voice was cool and dismissive. “Anyway, I’ve got a kite to fly.”
She ended the call.
Ethan was so angry he nearly threw his phone, but with Jordan and Natalie standing there, he had to keep up the act. Pushing down his frustration, he turned to Natalie with a helpless shrug. “Isabella’s flying kites and made a bet with some kids. She says if she comes back now, she’ll lose, and she hates losing. She’s in her twenties and still acts like a kid. She never changes.”
“Natalie, I can help with dinner,” he offered, moving closer. “I’m not bad in the kitchen, you know.”
Natalie, annoyed that Ethan couldn’t convince Isabella to come back and play housekeeper, quickly stopped him. “Ethan, let the staff do it.”
She turned to Jackson. “Honey, dinner’s going to take a while. Why don’t we walk down to the beach and watch Isabella with her kite?”
“And it’s the prettiest!” another girl said.
Isabella grinned. “Your kites are flying really high, too. They’re all beautiful.”
The kids laughed, beaming with pride.
“Miss, are you hungry? I can get you something to eat,” one of them offered.
She shook her head, smiling. “Thanks, but I’m not hungry yet.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
