“Ethan, you’re still mad at me. You just won’t let it go, will you?” Natalie’s voice trembled with hurt.
“Natalie, I told you, I’m not in the mood. Just go home,” Ethan said, fighting to keep his temper in check.
His mind was a mess. He could barely focus. And Natalie was still going on about forgiveness, as if it even mattered anymore. Whether he forgave her or not, none of it changed what had already happened. She hadn’t really paid for what she did, and for Sophia’s sake, he’d tried to be fair, remembering all the years he and Natalie had spent together.
He hadn’t helped Isabella push the issue, and now Isabella was disappointed in him all over again. What more did Natalie want from him? Wasn’t it enough? He just wanted to be left alone, but Natalie couldn’t take the hint. She wouldn’t stop showing up when all he needed was some space.
Natalie could see how impatient Ethan was getting. She finally gave in, her voice soft. “Ethan, I’ll go. Don’t let it get to you, okay? If you’re really upset, call Jordan. Go grab a drink or something.”
Ethan didn’t say anything.
Natalie left, her face full of wounded pride. As soon as the elevator doors slid shut, her expression changed. The sadness vanished, replaced by something cold and sharp.
Isabella had actually managed to steal Ethan away from her. Ethan was completely done with her now. He’d never been like this before.
Natalie pulled out her phone and dialed a number, her tone low and secretive. No one could hear who was on the other end. “I’ll work with you. You said you wanted revenge for your boss, right?”
“I’ll help. I just want Isabella gone. But don’t let her off easy. Ruin her face, all of you take your turn with her, and then finish her for good. That’s the only way we’ll really get payback.”
“She’s the reason your boss is in jail. I bet you want revenge even more than I do.”
Natalie grabbed her purse and the gifts, then headed inside. People greeted her as she walked through the lobby. She smiled and nodded, even stopped to chat with a few of the higher-ups.
All the hellos and small talk slowed her down, so it took her more than ten minutes just to get upstairs.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she spotted Malvina waiting nearby. Malvina looked nervous, rushing over with a forced smile. “Natalie, what brings you here today?”
“This company belongs to my family. I can come and go as I please. Do I need your permission?” Natalie shot back.
She never liked Malvina. The last secretary had been married, which made Natalie feel more secure. But after that woman quit, Malvina took over. She was young, beautiful, and had a body that turned heads.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
