After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan) novel Chapter 717

All five of them wore black, with masks and sunglasses hiding their faces.

“Natalie, sorry, but we have to search you. We need to make sure you’re not carrying anything dangerous before you get in the car.”

Natalie’s expression changed instantly. “Search me?”

“I only have my phone. That’s it. What is there to search? No one has ever dared lay a hand on me before.”

Who did these people think they were? Did they really think they could risk the anger of Ethan and Jordan?

“Natalie, if you don’t let us search you, we can’t take you to see the boss.”

“Then forget it. I’m not going.”

Natalie refused and turned to leave. She wasn’t about to meet some so-called boss whose face she’d never even seen.

She’d already sought out Dave’s people, told them everything about Isabella, and hoped they’d take care of her for her. Then this mysterious “boss” sent someone to contact her. He knew everything about her, even things from her childhood, and it unsettled her. She had no clue when they’d managed to dig so deep.

The mysterious man had his people deliver a message. He said he wanted revenge for Dave too, and suggested they work together.

Natalie hated Isabella so much that she jumped at the chance. If someone wanted to help her get rid of Isabella, she was all for it.

So, when he reached out again today, sending her an address and strict instructions to take a taxi and tell no one where she was going, she came.

She really wanted to know who this man was, and what his deal with Dave was. Dave was already in prison, yet this boss still seemed furious on his behalf.

The two women searched her, found only her phone, and finally let her get into the car.

The second she sat down, pain shot through the back of her neck and everything went black.

She never saw the blow coming. The same man who said he wasn’t interested in married women had knocked her out cold.

“Tie her hands and cover her eyes. If she wakes up while we’re driving, she can’t see where we’re going,” the man told the women, then he climbed into the front passenger seat.

The women pulled out a rope and tied Natalie’s hands, then wrapped a black cloth around her eyes. Even if she woke up, she wouldn’t be able to see anything, and her hands were tied tight so she couldn’t pull the blindfold off.

Once they finished, the car started moving. The man on the motorcycle pulled on his helmet and rode off into the night.
