Isabella didn’t waste her energy trying to guess how Norah would react. She just had to wait and see.
Norah knew all about what happened last night, just like she did. The news would get out, one way or another, and it wouldn’t be because Isabella said a word. Natalie wouldn’t even get the chance to blame her.
Feeling a little smug, Isabella left for work with a spring in her step.
She had a client meeting lined up today, talking over a new business partnership. Her little studio had turned into a full-blown media company, and she’d already scored some impressive wins. More and more people wanted to work with her.
Now, she was aiming higher, looking for deals with bigger companies to help get her short-form dramas out to a wider audience.

Over at the Lane house, Jordan woke up early. The first thing he saw was his wife, fast asleep with her head resting beside him. It hit him that she must have stayed up all night taking care of him, and a wave of guilt washed over him.
He reached out and gently touched Natalie’s arm. She stirred right away.
“Jordan, you’re up,” she said, lifting her head.
She saw him sitting up on the couch and hurried to his side. Sliding next to him, she wrapped both arms around him and spoke softly. “Jordan, I’m sorry. I just couldn’t manage to get you upstairs last night. I had no energy left.”
“I had to let you sleep on the couch. I was worried you’d roll off, so I stayed here to keep an eye on you. I don’t even remember falling asleep myself.”
Jordan felt even guiltier hearing her say that. He hugged her back, his voice gentle. “Natalie, I’m sorry you had to go through that. I drank way too much. I don’t even remember coming home.”
He paused, then added, “Later, talk to the housekeeper. Have her move in and stay, even after hours. I don’t want you alone here when everyone else goes home.”
Natalie nodded quietly.
“Jordan, why don’t you go upstairs and take a shower?” Natalie suggested quietly.
Jordan agreed without a fuss.
They went upstairs together. Natalie got the bath ready, then fetched some clothes for Jordan. When she handed them to him, her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Honey, do you want me to help you wash up?”
Jordan grinned. “If my wife wants to give me a bath, who am I to say no?”
They disappeared into the bathroom and didn’t come out for an hour.
Afterward, Natalie felt completely content. She sat at her vanity, brushing her hair in the mirror. Suddenly, she spoke up. “Malvina was the one who brought you back last night.”
Jordan’s gaze flickered. He walked over and gently took the comb from her, starting to brush her hair himself. “I called her before I got too drunk and asked her to pick me up. It was so late, honey. I didn’t want you out driving at that hour. I was worried about your safety.”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
