Had Natalie done something with Ethan behind his back? Or maybe just said something? It was probably something she said, but it could have been more. Still, knowing Ethan, he never would have gone along with it.
They’d all grown up together, and Jordan knew Ethan inside out. Even if Ethan still had feelings for Natalie, as long as she was Jordan’s wife, Ethan would never cross that line. He’d always be good to her, but it would only ever be friendly, nothing more. Ethan just wasn’t the type to betray a friend.
Jordan was dying to go home and ask Natalie about it right away, but he managed to hold himself back. Silence hung in the office for a moment before he picked up the phone and called Malvina in.
She came in after a quick knock. “Jordan,” she greeted him.
The air was thick with smoke. Malvina wrinkled her nose and walked over, giving him a gentle reminder. “Jordan, you really shouldn’t be smoking so much.”
He shook his head. “It’s not me, this is my first one today. Ethan gave it to me. He smoked a ton while he was here.”
Malvina looked surprised. As far as she knew, Mr. Adams almost never smoked. Everyone said it was because Natalie hated the smell, so both Mr. Adams and Jordan rarely touched cigarettes unless something was really bothering them.
It was obvious how much both men cared about Natalie. Malvina felt a twist of jealousy, deep and bitter. She wanted Jordan for herself. Even if she couldn’t have him completely, she at least wanted to ruin his marriage. Natalie looked fragile on the outside, but everyone knew how controlling she could be. Her possessiveness was legendary.
If Natalie ever found out Jordan was cheating, she’d make a scene. Malvina didn’t expect Jordan to divorce Natalie and marry her. Her background wasn’t good enough to replace someone like Natalie. But if she could become his lover, get some perks, that would be enough. All she really wanted was money. She dreamed of living like Natalie, never worrying about bills, with everything taken care of and endless cash to spend.
Jordan’s voice pulled her out of her thoughts. “How did Natalie react after you brought me home last night?”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
