Ethan refused to accept it. He didn’t believe for a second that he was any less than Jordan Lane. The only reason Natalie chose to marry Jordan was because he’d been sly and gotten to her first, confessing before Ethan had the chance.
Isabella Lane said casually, “Got it. As long as he’s home, I’ll stick by your side like we’re the happiest couple in the world. He’ll totally believe you’re over Natalie Gates.” Whatever Ethan wanted to do after that was none of her business. She was only here for the money.
“Downstairs. Ten minutes,” Ethan said, tossing the words over his shoulder as he left.
The second he was out of sight, Isabella sprang into action. She ripped off her face mask, washed up, changed clothes, and put on the jewelry her mom had given her. She checked herself out in the mirror, smiling at her reflection.
She really was gorgeous. If she had her own house, car, savings, and a career, she’d be unstoppable. Once she left Ethan, maybe she’d get herself a cute boy toy, live it up, and get treated like a queen. The idea made her laugh.
After a couple minutes of admiring herself, Isabella grabbed a purse, slipped on her heels, and hurried downstairs.
Ethan sat on the living room sofa, checking his watch every few seconds, his good looks twisted into a scowl of impatience.
“Hey, boss, I’m here,” Isabella said with a grin. “Ten minutes on the dot. Not a second late. Don’t even think about docking my pay.”
Ethan let out a sigh. “Isabella Lane, can you talk like a normal person?” Sponsor? He was her husband.
She stuck out her tongue. “Alright, boss. Noted.” Then she quickly added, “Ethan.”
He took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. He figured she must just be trying to get his attention in some new way, trying to make him fall for her. No way could someone who’d loved him so much just be over him in three days. That had to be it. Her weird behavior was probably just another way to get him to notice her.
The two men in the back scooted over to make space for her. They were close enough to Ethan to know exactly what was going on between him and Isabella. Her riding with them didn’t surprise them at all.
Ethan frowned, pulled out his phone, and called her.
When Isabella saw his name pop up, she mumbled, “He could just stick his head out the window and yell. What’s with the phone call?” Still, she picked up.
“Get over here. Now.” Ethan’s voice was ice cold, and he sounded like he was all out of patience.
Isabella blinked, hung up, and turned to the bodyguard beside her. “So, does he want me in his car, or does he mean I should just move to the front seat of this one?”

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
