That was why there were so many photos, especially from the wedding. After they got married, the pictures just... stopped. On their wedding night, Ethan told Isabella the truth about everything, and she was never the same after that.
Now, looking at those old photos, Ethan felt like his heart was being cut to pieces. He could almost hear his grandmother’s voice, scolding him, saying it was his own fault for pushing Isabella away, that he was the one who gave Harold his chance.
He couldn’t blame Harold. He could only blame himself.
“Isabella, I know I messed up. I really do,” Ethan whispered, running his fingers over her picture, regret and guilt written all over his face.
He already knew he wouldn’t be sleeping tonight.
Ethan’s bad mood kept him tossing and turning, but Natalie was even worse off. York had those photos and videos of her, and it felt like he had her life in his hands. One wrong move, and he could ruin everything for her.
He was merciless.
Was it Ethan, or Isabella, who had pissed York off in the first place? If she’d known they were York’s enemies, would she still have gotten involved? Probably. She would have told herself that the enemy of her enemy was her friend.
She just hadn’t expected that while she was using York against Isabella, he would be using her right back.
And then there was the whole mess with Jordan and Malvina. Jordan had betrayed her, at least emotionally, and the pain of that was eating Natalie alive.
After leaving the rooftop of the hotel, Natalie had zero interest in mingling with anyone else. Especially after finding out that Ethan had gone after Isabella. It felt like everyone had abandoned her.
Both of her friends had fallen for other women.
They’d both promised her, more than once, that they’d always care about her, that they’d treat her well.
Nadine hadn’t believed the rumors about Harold liking Isabella before. But tonight, after seeing the way he took care of her, constantly checking if she was okay, she believed it.
The way Harold looked at Isabella was nothing but gentle.
“She’s just lucky, I guess. What else can we do?” Natalie said, her voice weak. She didn’t mention that Ethan and Isabella had slept in separate rooms ever since they got married. Isabella might be divorced, but she was still pure. Harold knew that, too.
“Nadine, can you get me a couple of drinks? I really need something to take the edge off.”
“Of course. Wait here. I’ll get you drinks, and I’ll drink with you. We’re not leaving until we’re both good and drunk tonight.”
Nadine got up and went to get the drinks for Natalie. She came back a moment later, balancing a tray with several glasses of wine.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
