“If you ever try bothering Isabella again, I swear I’ll break your legs, ruin your life, and make sure you never get near another woman. Got it?”
“Okay, okay, I hear you, just... let go, please! I get it, I was wrong, I shouldn’t have gone after Isabella,” Elton begged, his voice shaky. “Ethan, please, just give me a break this time. I promise I won’t go near her again.”
Natalie had always said Ethan only married Isabella to have an excuse to visit the Lane family and see her more. According to Natalie, Ethan was in love with her, and Isabella was just a piece on his chessboard. Now that Isabella was no use, they’d divorced. But that didn’t add up. The way Ethan stood up for Isabella, the way he tried to protect her, his possessiveness—it was real. No way there were no feelings there. Elton knew men, and he was sure Ethan had already fallen for Isabella.
Yeah, Ethan had loved Natalie once, but that was over the moment she married Jordan. Ethan probably thought he had no chance, so he married Isabella instead. It wouldn’t be strange if, after living together, real feelings started to grow. Honestly, Natalie had really gotten him into trouble this time.
Ethan glared at him. “If I find out you’ve bothered Isabella again, you and your whole family will regret it. Now get out of my sight.”
Finally free, Elton ignored the pain shooting through his body, scrambled to his feet, and staggered back to his car. He jumped in and sped off, barely caring about the bruises blossoming on his skin.
Ethan turned to his two bodyguards. “You both did well protecting Isabella. You’ll get double your usual bonus this month.”
“Thank you, Ethan!” Both men broke into big grins. Who wouldn’t be happy about a little extra cash?
“And if Elton shows his face around Isabella again, teach him a lesson. Just don’t kill him.”
Elton was a notorious creep, always chasing after women, even married ones. If he decided he wanted someone, he’d stop at nothing to get her, unless her family was even more powerful than the Coles. He’d left a trail of broken hearts behind him.
He just assumed it was Natalie’s.
The butler gave the car a look and lowered his voice. “That’s Deborah’s new car. Jackson gave it to her as a wedding gift.”
Elton froze. “You mean Jackson’s mistress is official now?”
“You didn’t know?”
“I haven’t really been paying attention,” Elton muttered.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
