Once Malvina finished making Jordan’s coffee, both of them slipped right back into their professional roles, acting like nothing had happened. Malvina headed out to work as if it were just another ordinary morning. If Natalie hadn’t been sitting in the lounge, witnessing everything with her own eyes and ears, nobody would ever guess there was anything going on between them.
Natalie managed to hold herself together. She didn’t run out or make a scene. When the two of them got back to work, she quietly closed the lounge door behind her. That’s when she realized her cheeks were wet. She wiped her face, her hand coming away soaked with tears. At some point, she’d started crying and hadn’t even noticed.
She lay down on the bed, pressing her hand over her mouth to keep the sobs from escaping. The tears just kept coming, one after another, spilling down her face.
Nadine had always said Natalie was the luckiest woman she knew. She’d married Jordan and still had Ethan wrapped around her little finger. Before the wedding, she’d been the cherished daughter of a wealthy family. After, she became the lady of the house. Two men had treated her like she was priceless. Who wouldn’t have wanted her life back then?
Now she was just someone with a ruined reputation, left behind by her husband. Even Ethan, the one who had loved her most, had turned away and gone after Isabella instead.
The man she’d chosen, Jordan, was cheating on her with Malvina. The things he’d said earlier felt like knives twisting in her chest. She could barely breathe from the pain.
She’d only stayed close to Ethan for the sake of The Lane Group, hoping his feelings would keep helping the company. But in Jordan’s eyes, she was the one chasing after Ethan, and he’d only put up with it for business reasons.
And the way she had treated Isabella’s mother? That had been Jordan’s idea too. Before they even got married, he’d told her to take over the household after the wedding and to make things hard for her stepmother, since he was always at work and couldn’t do it himself.
Natalie’s anger at Jordan only made her hate Isabella more. She thought back over the past six months. Everything had started to go wrong after Isabella married Ethan. Her luck just ran out, and nothing good had happened since.
It was all because of Isabella. She’d lost Ethan’s love, and her life had fallen apart piece by piece. If she hadn’t been fighting Isabella, she never would have gotten involved with York. If not for that, she wouldn’t have any of this baggage. York wouldn’t have this kind of hold over her.
It was all Isabella’s fault.
Natalie had no idea how long she cried. When the tears finally stopped, she took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down. She went to the bathroom, washed her face, and fixed her makeup. Once she was sure she looked completely normal, she grabbed her lunch container and walked out of the lounge.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
