The movie Isabella had thrown eighty million into over the New Year ended up being the season’s biggest surprise hit. It shot straight to the top of the box office and she was about to make a huge profit.
Her mom, Cynthia, gave her a gentle warning. “I know you’re juggling a few different investments right now, Isabella, but business isn’t something you should rush. Take your time. Build things step by step. If you try to do too much at once, it’s easy to make mistakes and lose everything.”
Cynthia didn’t really understand the business world, but she often heard stories from Jackson about people who crashed and burned, losing their companies overnight. She had seen how quickly fortunes could disappear. One wrong move, and you could go from living comfortably to drowning in debt, losing your home and your car, and working just to pay it all back.
Isabella smiled and tried to set her mom’s mind at ease. “Don’t worry, Mom. I’m investing with Linda and Barbara this time. They’re total pros. Honestly, they’re way better at business than I am.”
She added, “And I always ask Ethan and Harold for their advice before I put money into anything. Even though Ethan and I are divorced, he’s got way more experience in business than I do. Sure, he wasn’t great at relationships, but he’s definitely a smart businessman.”
“The Adams Group has been thriving since he took over, and Harold’s just as sharp. I only jumped in because they both thought Linda and Barbara’s projects were worth it.”
Isabella knew she was still new to all this. Besides investing in short dramas and Frank’s movie, which she picked because she remembered their success from her last life, she always did her homework, double-checked the market, and made sure she understood what she was getting into.
She was careful. She didn’t just throw money around.
Now, with a bit more experience and Harold willing to help her out, she could feel herself getting better at it all.
Cynthia finally relaxed. “Alright. That makes me feel better.”
“Time to sleep,” Isabella said, wishing her mom goodnight before closing her eyes.
Cynthia watched her daughter drift off, her face soft with affection. After a moment, she settled in and fell asleep, too.

The readers' comments on the novel: After I Stopped Loving Him (Isabella and Ethan)
Author, please get your characters names right. You always messing them up!...
I wish Harold will win Isabella's heart. I was so sad when Isabela was taken for granted coldly and cruelly by her supposed to be husband, and trapped, mocked and humiliated non stop by Natalie. This was so cruel, both don't deserve Isabela' forgiveness I wish for a happy ending between Isabela and Harold, he has the right to be happy after the long wait....
Frankly, the story initially was going quite good and the pacing was just right. unfortunately after Ethan got the dream of his past life, the story has been going in circles. Ethan's spouting the same nonsense every time he sees Isabella, they both have same conversations over and over. The authors monologue too has been the same for almost 400 chapters. Irrespective of which character the writing the just a repetition of what someone had gone through in the past and what made a certain character feel the emotions. York got introduced in 800 chapters yet nothing significant happened till date. Isabella is soft with Harold and kind of disgusted with Ethan, yet it is not entirely clear with whom she might end up. If she stays single i am fine with it but the story is clearly about Isabella and Ethan so almost 1000 chapters without seeing any progress in their relationship is frustrating. Except for being blindly in love and few aggressive instances with Isabella, Ethan actually isnt a bad person so i am fine if he can win her back. Even though Harold is coming off as a good second lead, i am somehow unable to warm upto him. Even the bad people in the story are not really facing any real consequences. I hate Jackson for his hypocrisy. I hate Jordan and Natalie for their self-righteouness and selfishness. I also hate Deborah, except when she is handing it out to Natalie. I am almost on the verge of dropping this story....
Why are they acting like kids 🤣😭...
Ethan is actually not that bad if we take out his blind love for Natalie...
