Chapter 114
Brad’s POV
I spotted a familiar figure striding toward us across the tarmac. Roy Bailey looked exactly the same as always-curly chestnut hair
catching the sunlight, broad shoulders, and that unmistakable swagger that screamed Alpha confidence.
“Brad, you magnificent bastard!” Roy’s voice boomed across the space between us. He pulled me into a bear hug.
21
When Roy turned toward Elle, I watched him hesitate slightly. His nose twitched as he took in her human scent mixed with my own, his
eyes dropping briefly to her visible pregnancy. I could see the wheels turning in his head-human mate, pregnant, definitely not what he’d
expected.
Elle, to her credit, stepped forward with that quiet dignity I’d come to love about her. She extended her hand without a trace of the fear
most humans showed around powerful Alphas.
“Congratulations,” she said simply, her voice steady.
Roy’s face lit up with genuine appreciation. “So you’re the woman who managed to tame this ice-cold Alpha.” He shot me a knowing grin.
“She’s got more backbone than most werewolves, I’ll give her that.”
*I’ve heard Yara’s quite the catch herself,” Elle replied smoothly.
Roy laughed, the sound rich with Alpha pride. “Damn right she is! Brad, you son of a bitch, did you tell her all my secrets?”
I shrugged, fighting back a smile.
“By the way,” Roy said, slinging an arm around my shoulders with that casual Alpha dominance that would have gotten anyone else’s
throat ripped out, “where’s my gift?”
I gestured to Alex, who immediately signaled to the convoy of vehicles approaching. Three sleek sports cars rolled up, each one customized for werewolf physiology-reinforced frames, enhanced suspension systems, everything an Alpha needed for both human and
wolf form driving.
“Pick one,” I told Roy, watching his eyes light up like a kid on Christmas morning. “But you only get one today. The other two come after
you give me a daughter.”
Roy’s expression shifted to confusion, his head tilting in that distinctly wolf-like gesture. “Why a daughter?”
I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face as I glanced at Elle’s growing belly. The future I was envisioning-my son with Roy’s daughter, continuing the alliance between our packs-felt suddenly, surprisingly real.
Roy followed my gaze and his jaw dropped. “You sneaky fuck!” He punched my shoulder with enough force to bruise a human. “Already planning the next generation’s matches?”

Chapter 114
Elle’s hand moved instinctively to her stomach, and I caught the flash of understanding in her eyes. Yeah, she got it. The thought should have bothered her-the calculated nature of werewolf politics-but instead, I saw something that looked almost like amusement.
Roy led us toward a side exit, away from the main terminal. A customized luxury RV was waiting, clearly designed to accommodate werewolf physiology and Roy’s particular taste for showing off.
As we approached the vehicle, Roy pulled me aside to the bar area. He poured two glasses of blood wine-a werewolf delicacy that helped maintain our strength-and handed me one.
“Brad,” he said, his voice dropping to a more serious tone. “There’s something I need to tell you. Something you should know before we
get to the house.”
I raised an eyebrow, noting the sudden tension in his posture. “Don’t tell me your ex-girlfriends are all coming to the wedding.
“Not mine,” Roy said quietly. “Yours.”
The glass froze halfway to my lips. There was only one ex-girlfriend who could put that expression on Roy’s face.
“Mira’s back,” he said simply.
The words hit me like a physical blow. The glass slipped from my numb fingers, but I caught it before it could shatter, werewolf reflexes kicking in automatically. My wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, responding to the emotional upheaval.
My mind was reeling. Mira Collins. The werewolf woman I’d truly loved. Before she’d disappeared without a trace three years ago, leaving nothing but unanswered questions and a bitter taste in my mouth.
And now she was here, just when I’d finally found my mate. Just when everything with Elle was finally falling into place.
“Brad?” Roy’s voice seemed to come from far away. “You okay, brother?”
I forced myself to focus, to push down the wolf that was clawing at my control. “Yeah. Fine.”
But I wasn’t fine. Mira’s return changed everything, and we both knew it,
‘If you still have feelings for her-” Roy started.
“I don’t.” The words came out sharp, final. “What we had is over. Has been for years. I have a mate now, Roy. She’s carrying my heir. Nothing from the past matters anymore.”
Roy nodded slowly. “You sure about that? Because Mira… she’s changed. And she’s been asking about you.”
The protective instincts I felt for Elle flared hot and fierce. “She can ask all she wants. The answer will be the same. I chose Elle. I chose
our future.”

“What about Elle? You gonna till by above tre?
Elle’s POV
I settled into the plush seating of Ray’s PV, trying not to geek at the them excess of everything around me.
Would you care for some refreshments, Mrs. Rayne? one of Roy’s staff asked.
“Could I just have some warm milk instead? Thank you.”
While waiting for my drink, I couldn’t help but overhear the comversation from the bar area. Roy and Brad’s voices carried easily in the enclosed space, and one word made my blood run cold.
“Mira’s back.”
Mira, Who was Mira? The name hit me like a punch to the gut, though I couldn’t say why. The way Brad’s voice had changed when Ray said it-the shock, the tension-told me everything I needed to know.
This Mira, whoever she was, mattered to Brad. A lot.
I forced myself to look out the window, to focus on the passing scenery instead of the knot forming in my stomach. It wasn’t my business, I told myself. Brad had a life before me, relationships before me. The fact that someone from his past was here didn’t change anything
between us.
Did it?
The RV pulled to a stop, and I looked up to see Roy’s house-or rather, his compound. Where Brad’s estate was elegant and refined, Ray’s place looked like a cross between a luxury resort and a theme park. There were multiple buildings, what looked like a private lake, and enough outdoor entertainment areas to host a small festival.
“Holy shit, I muttered under my breath.
‘Elle!’ a familiar voice called out as I stepped down from the RV.
I turned, and my face broke into the first genuine smile I’d felt since overhearing that conversation “Sophia! What are you doing here?”

Not sure how the story ended without completing the circle on what happened to Sophia and Lester. That loop was just left hanging... what happened with the Blair contract of having to married Raymond? All Eleanor wanted was a piece of Rayne industries?...
