Chapter 105
“Oh, right.” After Julian pointed it out, Teddy remembered too and looked at Louisa. “You only mentioned not having evidence back then. You never explained how you discovered the problem in the first place.”
When work came up, Louisa’s demeanor instantly shifted to business mode. “Here’s what happened. About a month ago, when I was still at the Capulet Group, I interviewed a financial specialist for a position.
‘She didn’t state it directly, but I picked up from our conversation that Aurora Media Group had financial issues. She was smart enough to resign early, afraid the company would collapse and everyone would be scrambling for jobs.
“Later, she occasionally mentioned things about Judith to her colleagues, and I overheard some of it.
“So yesterday, when Neil brought up the Aurora Media Group project, I checked their recent financial statements. They were clearly falling apart, yet the statements were suspiciously flawless. Red flag city, right?”
So the whole thing was really a coincidence. If she hadn’t known those details beforehand, she wouldn’t have immediately spotted the
issue.
Teddy nodded along. “You got pretty lucky then.”
Louisa had simply happened to know certain things that helped her identify the problem, saving the company trouble and earning herself
major credit.
Unexpectedly, Julian shot him a cold glance. “What do you mean, lucky?” She nearly lost her life–how was that lucky?
He looked at Louisa again. “If something like this happens again, tell me first, understand?”
“I understand.” Louisa nodded. She had no desire to experience another near–death situation either.
“Mr. Tudor, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back now.”
“Alright. Julian gave a slight nod.
As Louisa prepared to leave, Teddy suddenly remembered something. “I just saw George at the entrance to the complex. He’s probably looking for you–be careful.”
Louisa frowned deeply. Why was that man here again? She didn’t want to see him.
She was just wondering if she should hide at home–if he couldn’t find her, he’d probably leave–when heavy footsteps suddenly sounded outside, followed by urgent knocking.
“Louisa! I know you’re in there! Come out! Come out right now!”

Chapter 105
Louisa seriously doubted that if she didn’t open up, George would tear her door down. She opened the door and coldly eyed the man
outside. George, what’s all this commotion about?”
When George heard her voice, he turned to look at her. His dull eyes instantly lit up as he quickly walked to her side. “Honey, you finally
agreed to see me. Are you okay? As he spoke, he reached for her hand.
Louisa anticipated his move and stepped aside, avoiding his touch. “I already gave you the divorce papers. What more do you want?” Her
talk of divorce was ice cold, without a trace of warmth.
George was wounded by her attitude. He dropped to one knee in front of her. “Honey, I know I messed up. I truly do. I’ve completely cut ties with Vivian and won’t contact her again.
“Give me one chance to make things right. I swear, I’ll never make this mistake again in my life.” As he spoke, his eyes reddened.
Louisa remained unmoved, letting out a cold laugh. “Make things right? You were just following your desires. You’ve had fun these past three months, haven’t you? Why change now? Don’t bother.
‘I’ll set you free–just sign the divorce papers, and you can play however you want.”
Her words made George’s heart ache. Ignoring her rejection, he forcefully grabbed her hand and pleaded, “Honey, please don’t say that. Vivian and I really didn’t… You’re the only one I love-
“Stop right there!” Louisa yanked her hand back. “What you do is your business. What we had is over. OVER. Do you understand?”
From the moment she had to shoulder all that pain alone, everything between them had ended completely. She never planned on going
back.
She didn’t want to argue with him anymore. “We have nothing to discuss except the divorce. Please leave.”
I’m not leaving!” George’s voice was even louder than hers.
He wasn’t trying to lose his temper, but the cold Louisa had made him completely panicked. Lowering his voice, he begged, “Forgive me just this once, please! After all our years together—I just made one mistake that all men make. Why can’t you forgive me?”
*Not all men are unfaithful to their relationships, Mr. Capulet. If you can’t take responsibility for your own mistakes, there’s no need to drag all men down with you.” A cool voice suddenly spoke up, accompanied by the soft rustle of papers being turned.
George looked toward the speaker as if he’d seen a ghost. It was none other than Julian. So this was Julian’s home?
Julian lifted his eyes from the documents, glancing at George with a cold, contemptuous light in his gaze.
Feeling insulted, George demanded, “Julian, what do you mean by that?”
Julian replied flatly, “Nothing much. I just don’t respect you.”
