Chapter 107
Louisa didn’t want to open her door with George watching. Once he got inside, getting rid of him would be nearly impossible.
“Honey… George’s voice was pained, seeing how desperately she was trying to dismiss him.
‘I’m not your honey! Louisa cut him off coldly. “Don’t forget we’re in the middle of a divorce. The proceedings are in two days. Make sure you show up.”
“I refuse!” George shot back. “You tricked me into signing those papers. They don’t count. I’ve already torn them up.”
‘Fine, then I’ll see you in court! This divorce was happening, one way or another.
‘Don’t even think about it!” George’s tone hardened. “If we end up in court, you might not win against me. The Capulet Group’s lawyers aren’t incompetent. What could you possibly do against me?”
His words infuriated her. A sharp pain twisted through Louisa’s chest as she pressed one hand against the wall for support and clutched at her heart with the other.
George quickly moved to steady her. “Honey, what’s wrong?”
“None of your business!” Louisa gritted her teeth and pushed him away with all her remaining strength.
Seeing her face pale with pain, George softened his tone. “I just don’t want a divorce. Can’t we stay together?”
Louisa squeezed her eyes shut, wishing she could have him assassinated.

Teddy, emerging from Julian’s apartment, saw her leaning against the wall, barely standing. George hovered beside her, looking utterly pitiful.
“Ms. Forbes, do you need help?” Teddy asked after a moment’s hesitation.
“Help with what? This is between me and my wife–it’s none of your business!” George roared.
“George, shut up!” Louisa snarled through clenched teeth. Her face grew even paler, beads of sweat breaking across her forehead.
George immediately fell silent.
Teddy didn’t know how to help. This was clearly a marital dispute, but he couldn’t just walk away.
Maybe he should tell Julian? George probably only respected his authority. He pulled out his phone, but before he could dial, a ringtone
sounded.

Ms. Forbes, are you okay? Teddy asked worriedly. “Should I tell Mr. Tudor so we can take you to the hospital?”
No need Louisa shook her head weakly. I just need to rest.
Teddy had nothing more to say and helped her back to her apartment.
She won’t seriously ill–just the leg injury that needed rest. But because of George, she’d been standing too long and gotten worked up, which made her feel terrible.
After sitting on the coach for a while and taking some medicine, she started feeling better. Now she was ready for a shower.

“Ms. Hughes, Hatty suggested cautiously, “I don’t think that’s what you should be focusing on right now. Mr. Tudor demon Shouldn’t you be figuring out how to get your director position back?”
Teresa suddenly calmed down, staring intently at her assistant. Even a young assistant understood this basic principle, director, had lost sight of it. One had to wonder if she’d gotten that position through family connections.
Hatty felt unnerved by her gaze. “That’s just my personal opinion. It might be wrong, so please don’t-”
“No, you’re right,” Teresa interrupted. “I should focus on getting my director position back.” She leaned forward. “But how do I do that? Do you have any ideas?”
