Chapter 118
Louisa turned to face him as dusk settled outside. Beneath the mountain, thick foliage blocked what little moonlight filtered through, casting them in dim shadows.
George’s profile stood sharp and handsome in the fading light. He tugged at his tie with one hand, casually sweeping back his dark hair, giving him a roguish, dangerous appeal.
To many women, he was the perfect package–handsome, wealthy, commanding. Even something as simple as loosening his tie exuded raw sexuality and power.
But Louisa remembered the boy he once was–that clean–cut young man who had blushed to the roots of his hair the first time he kissed her. That George had been so good. Too bad he was gone forever.
She took a deep breath and asked, “So? What do you want?”
George turned his gaze back to her. “Do you remember, honey? Two years ago, you told me you wanted a
child.”
A child? Louisa’s heart lurched. Had he brought her to this desolate place to force himself on her?
George’s intense gaze traveled over her face, her body… She was still beautiful–even more so than seven
years ago.
The black suit hugged her delicate curves, her waist small enough to span with his hands, her breasts soft and sweet. Especially those legs wrapped around his waist when she was aroused… No view in the world
could compare.
Suddenly, he flicked away his cigarette and lunged at her, pinning her beneath him. “Let’s have a baby, honey. With a child, you won’t leave me.”
“Are you insane?”
“Yes, I am. You drove me to it.”
Ignoring her struggles and resistance, he cupped her face and kissed her.
Louisa fought desperately, twisting her head to avoid his lips. “George, this is rapel
“How can it be rape? We’re married. There’s nothing more natural than a husband and wife making love. Who’s going to stop us?”

“But I don’t want this. I don’t want this–are you listening?” Louisa pushed and kicked with all her might, but her injured leg sent searing pain through her with every movement.
George paid no attention. His masculine strength made it impossible for her to push him away. He forcefully parted her legs, positioning himself between them.
Fury surged through her as she shoved at him. “George, you bastard! Get off me! Let me go!”
“No! I want you! We’re going to make a baby today!” With a child, she wouldn’t think about leaving him. That single thought consumed him as his hands tore at her clothes.
Louisa struggled violently, trying to push him off, but her strength was no match for his. He was like a
mountain pressing down on her, immovable.
He kissed her cheek, his voice husky in her ear. “Just this once, please? Let’s make a deal–if you don’t get pregnant tonight, I’ll let you go. I’ll never bother you again. But if you do, we’ll go home and never part for
the rest of our lives. What do you say?”
How could he be so shameless? Louisa was livid. “Go to hell! Who would make such a deal? You have no
right to dictate my future!”
“Once we have a child, you won’t feel that way.” He reclined her seat, tore open her blouse, and grabbed her
breasts.
Louisa’s entire body trembled violently. Tears streamed down her face like broken strings of pearls. She was terrified, truly terrified. She begged through her tears, “Please, let me go.” Her voice quivered with desperation.
George
watched her cry, a sharp pain stabbing his heart. Was making love to him really so unbearable for her? Her tears pierced him like swords, cutting deep.
But in the next moment, his expression hardened. He pinned her hands above her head, his voice frighteningly cold. “You will want it!”
“Bastard! You bastard!” Louisa screamed in rage. But George silenced her with a forceful kiss.
Her familiar sweetness was intoxicating. Desire crashed over him like a tidal wave, reminiscent of their first time together. He felt he could devour her whole.
For a while, he had grown tired of her, indifferent. Especially these last few months with Vivian–the fresh excitement had kept him from wanting to go home, to face Louisa, to communicate with her. So he had

indulged recklessly in the thrill.
He’d assumed all men were the same. All the men in their social circle cheated, maintaining glossy public
images of stable marriages and families.
He’d thought Louisa would be like those other women–always by his side, waiting for him at home when
he’d had his fun.
He never imagined she would leave him so decisively. He never meant to lose her.
He kissed her face, his tone softening, “Babe, I love you. I love you. Let’s stay together, never apart, okay?”
Louisą remained silent, just crying until her voice grew hoarse. If she couldn’t escape this, she didn’t know what would become of her…
Just then, a male voice came from outside the car window, his tone flippant. “Hello? This isn’t exactly a secluded area. Mind toning down the passion a bit? Consider the feelings of us single folks, would you?”
Someone was there? Louisa immediately tried to call for help.
George reacted quickly, clamping his hand over her mouth and shouting at the window, “Get lost!”
Louisa seized the opportunity to push him away. In that moment, her lips were swollen, her clothes disheveled. Gone was her usual sharp, commanding presence. She looked vulnerable enough to invite further abuse.
George, interrupted just seconds ago, wanted her again. He caressed her face. “Babe, let’s go somewhere
else.”
“Get lost!” Louisa cursed, her voice raw. “Why would I go anywhere with you? You bastard! How did I ever end up with you? I regret it so much–wasting all those years loving you!”
If she could, she would turn back time to ten years ago, before she ever loved him.
Her words wounded George deeply. His eyes burned red “Now you regret being with me? Too late! You’re already mine. I won’t let you go. You’ll be my woman for the rest of your life!”
“Then I’d rather die!”
