The thought made her angry. “Actually, it’s all your fault!”
Julian found her accusatory tone amusing. “How is this my problem?”

Louisa mumbled without filter, “Did you bring me in to create value for you or to clean up your messes? Fine, I’ll handle the mess, but
then you assigned Teresa to work against me? And you say it’s not your fault?”
“So her difficult behavior is causing you problems?”
Louisa considered this. “Not really. I’m a business genius–who could possibly give me trouble?”
Julian sighed. “A business genius is a title others give you, not something you claim for yourself.”
“But it’s true, isn’t it?” Louisa countered.
“…It is,” Julian admitted.
The two men in front exchanged glances. ‘Is Ms. Forbes actually drunk or not?‘
If she wasn’t drunk, how could she be so intimate with their boss? But if she was drunk, how was her reasoning still so clear?
After that, Julian stopped talking to her, and she quieted down.
When they reached the underground parking garage, she had dozed off. Julian tapped her head. “We’re home. Will you walk yourself or
should I carry you?”
‘I’ll walk,” she responded quickly but didn’t move an inch.
Seeing her drowsy, lazy state, Julian stopped talking and prepared to exit first before carrying her out.
But Louisa had regained some consciousness during their movement, and as he shifted her, she opened her eyes.
She stared at the handsome face before her, momentarily disoriented. Then she realized she was sitting on his lap.
She froze completely. What was happening? Why was she on his lap? Had she… done something to him?
Panicking, she quickly slid off his legs. She moved so fast she nearly tumbled to the floor,
Julian caught her by the collar, preventing her fall.

Chapter 129
She looked up with an awkward smile. “Thank you, Mr. Tudor. Her submissive demeanor was almost painful to watch.
Julian ignored her and exited the car first. Louisa followed behind him, head lowered, deflated and visibly torn between wanting to escape
and being too intimidated to try.
In the elevator, she stood as far from him as possible.
The scene left Teddy and Bob completely baffled. What was happening? Had Ms. Forbes’s soul been swapped? Did she have multiple
personalities?
But seeing their boss act like this was perfectly normal, they kept their thoughts to themselves.
When they reached their floor, Louisa thought she was finally free–until she spotted another tall figure standing in front of her door.
It was George.
He was clearly drunk, his hair disheveled, suit jacket dangling from his hand, shirt buttons undone, leaning crookedly against the wall. Hearing them approach, he looked toward the elevator.
Julian saw him too. Their eyes met, both momentarily surprised.
Julian’s expression instantly turned cold. How did George have the passcode to this floor? Had Louisa given it to him?
George, seeing them together, immediately flashed with anger, storming toward Louisa with murderous intent.
The unpleasant car experience from before instantly flooded her mind. Out of instinctive fear, she grabbed the edge of Julian’s jacket and
hid behind him.
George’s eyes grew even more dangerous at the sight. Especially seeing her fear him while seeking Julian’s protection–it was like a knife plunging into his heart.
“Why are you hiding behind him? Come out here!” He lunged forward.
Before he could reach Louisa, Julian blocked his path. Julian looked down at George with pure disdain. Then his gaze fell to the small hand clutching his jacket.
The warmth had completely vanished from his eyes, replaced by icy contempt. Yet his tone remained eerily calm, ‘Ms. Forbes, quite the player, aren’t you?”
His words dripped with sarcasm.
