George finally released the bottle when Louisa intervened. His eyes reddened as he looked at her–she still cared about him after all.
He lunged forward and wrapped his arms tightly around her. “Honey…”
“Don’t call me that. We’re divorced. Let go of me! Louisa struggled with all her strength to push him away.
George wore an expression of agony, resting his head on her shoulder. “Honey, my stomach hurts.”
“Then go to a hospital,” Louisa said exasperatedly. “What good does holding onto me do? Let go!”
George remained silent, selectively deaf to her protests, whimpering pitifully in her ear. He refused to believe she could be so heartless toward him.
Everyone watched in astonishment. They hadn’t expected such tactics from George–most people wouldn’t even think of such an approach.
Julian’s handsome face grew frigid. He stepped forward, gripped George’s wrists, and forcefully pulled them from Louisa’s waist.
“Teddy,” he ordered coldly, “call an ambulance for Mr. Capulet.”
“Who needs an ambulance? I don’t want an ambulance. I want my wife!” George shook off Julian’s hands.
Louisa, finally freed, quickly escaped from the room. If George wanted to humiliate himself, he could do it alone–she had no intention of joining him.
Seeing her leave, George immediately moved to follow her. Julian blocked his path.
“Julian, you think I won’t hit you?” The violent tendencies amplified by alcohol took over as George raised his fist.
Julian didn’t flinch, meeting his gaze coldly. “Try it.”
Everyone reacted at once. Teddy quickly positioned himself in front of his boss while Caden grabbed George’s arm, warning in a low voice, “George, you’re
drunk.”
Saul, unprepared for this turn of events, intervened. “Mr. Capulet is clearly too intoxicated for further discussion. Mr. Price, perhaps you should take him
somewhere to rest.”
The implication was clear: get George out of here, by any means necessary.
Caden was deeply frustrated. Bringing George today had been a terrible mistake, but who could have predicted Julian would bring Louisa?
The meeting was now effectively ruined. He turned to Julian with an apologetic expression. “Mr. Tudor, I’m terribly sorry. I’ll take him away now. Perhaps we could… meet again another time?”
The uncertainty in his voice was evident. He wasn’t sure if he’d get another chance after today’s disaster.
Julian neither agreed nor refused. He merely glanced at George with feigned concern. “Mr. Capulet seems seriously unwell. I’ll recommend a doctor for you— take him for a proper examination.”
Caden was immediately elated. The doctor wasn’t the point–what mattered was that Julian was willing to maintain contact. This meant their business might still have a future.

He quickly added Julian on WhatsApp, then apologized again, thanked him, and dragged George out of the room.
The moment they left, Caden received a message. Opening it, he found Julian had sent him a business card–for a psychiatrist.
Caden’s heart sank. How could he salvage this situation?
He should have forcefully intervened when George and Vivian’s troubles first began. Those two had become like time bombs strapped to his career.
His misery was interrupted when George pushed him away. The cold clarity in George’s eyes showed no trace of his previous drunken state.
Caden stared in disbelief. Had it all been an act?
Before he could scold George, both their phones rang simultaneously. They exchanged glances and answered.
After just a few words from the caller, both men’s expressions changed dramatically. “I’m coming back right now!” they said in unison.
Meanwhile, Louisa had hidden in another private room hear the elevator after leaving. She wasn’t afraid of George but wanted to avoid further public
embarrassment.
She reasoned that once she was gone, George would lose his target and eventually calm down.
She overheard the two men’s urgent phone conversations. From their tone, something significant and troublesome had occurred.
Unable to hear clearly, she dismissed it from her mind. Her more pressing concern was whether George had hurt Julian in her absence.
If George had injured Julian because of her, how could she continue working at Tudor Group?
Once certain that George and Caden had left, she returned to Julian’s private room.
The dinner was nearly over.
Saul, disappointed by the chaotic conclusion, apologized repeatedly to Julian. “This Saturday is the phase one inspection at Cloud Valley Resort. Your father and I are both optimistic about this project. If you have time, perhaps you could join us?”
‘I’m aware,” Julian replied. “I’ve already scheduled it.*
‘Excellent. We’ll see you at the resort on Saturday.”
‘Indeed.
With that polite acknowledgment, Julian departed with Louisa and Teddy.
Outside, Julian removed his suit jacket and handed it to Teddy. “Throw it away.”
“Yes, sir.”
Teddy was well accustomed to his boss’s fastidiousness.

Chapter 175
Louisa glanced at Julian, who caught her look.
“Do you have something to say, Ms. Forbes?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.
After a moment’s hesitation, she spoke. “Why throw it away when it could be washed? It’s so wasteful. Or at least donate it to someone in need.”
Having experienced financial hardship herself, she couldn’t bear to see such extravagance.
Julian’s lips curved slightly. “Then would you wash it for me?”
“Isn’t Bob responsible for your personal needs?” Louisa countered. Why should she wash his clothes?
Julian reclaimed the jacket and placed it in her arms. “Since you make a valid point, you’ll be responsible for my clothes from now on. Whether to wash or
donate them is your decision.”
Louisa slapped her own mouth in frustration. Why did she have to speak up?
As Teddy passed by, he grinned mischievously. “Enjoy your new job.*
Louisa sighed helplessly.—
By the time they left Dreamscape Club, night had fallen.
Louisa was still distracted, wondering about the phone calls that had simultaneously summoned George and Caden away.
Teddy suddenly spoke up. “Mr. Tudor, I have a personal matter this Saturday and would like to request the day off. I won’t be able to accompany you to the resort. Perhaps Ms. Forbes could go with you instead?”
Julian looked up at him. “I can approve your time off, but whether Ms. Forbes can replace you is something you should ask her directly.”
