Chapter 182
Julian gave her a cool look. “I could teach you, but… you probably wouldn’t learn.” His tone was regretful.
Was he implying she was stupid?
Louisa felt insulted. How was she stupid? She was a business prodigy with dual master’s degrees in finance and psychology.
No one had ever called her stupid before. Only he repeatedly suggested she was.
“You’re saying I’m stupid, aren’t you?” she challenged, indignant.
“Getting taken advantage of repeatedly–isn’t that stupid?” Julian replied.
Louisa was speechless. Channeling her frustration into appetite, she ate with abandon.
She had to admit, his culinary skills were exceptional.
“Logically, someone of your status wouldn’t have many opportunities to cook,” she couldn’t help asking. “How did you develop such impressive skills?”
“Develop? For something like this? Do I need to?” Julian smiled.
Louisa fell silent. Great. She’d opened her mouth again only to be humiliated. She stopped talking and continued eating.
When she finished, she patted her chest in satisfaction. The food was incredible.
No wonder people said good food was the best medicine–it could cure any unhappiness.
She’d completely forgotten her earlier irritation at Julian’s dismissiveness.
“Mr. Tudor, if I could eat your cooking every day, I’d die happy,” she sighed in satisaction.
Julian looked up at her meaningfully. “If you dare to dream it, anything is possible.”
Louisa was stunned. Was he mocking her? Making fun of her daydreaming?
She knew it was just a fantasy. Eating Julian’s cooking every day? Impossible.

Chapter 182
At the airport, Bob went to handle their check–in.
Louisa felt uncomfortable. She was supposed to be doing Teddy’s job, yet here was Bob, an older gentleman, doing these tasks. It didn’t
seem right.
“Bob, let me handle this,” she offered. “You should head back early.”
“No need, no need. You stay with Mr. Tudor–he might need something. I can manage these easy tasks,” Bob insisted.
Louisa reluctantly let it go.
Their destination was Sunrise City.
After landing, they would drive to a resort nestled in the mountains surrounding Sunrise City–a magical green oasis carved into a remote,
mysterious area.
The total investment exceeded $20 billion, with the Tudor Group holding a 70% stake and the McCarthy Group holding 30%.
This was Louisa’s first visit to Sunrise City. She’d only heard it had beautiful scenery and excellent air quality.
Their car traveled from the neon–lit city through the sparsely populated suburbs and onto a winding mountain road. Despite being a mountain path, the road was newly paved and smooth.
Looking up, she could see clouds like cotton candy–low, white, and seemingly within reach. She found herself opening the window and stretching out her hand…
Julian noticed but didn’t stop her. Instead, he instructed the driver, “Slow down.”
“Yes, Mr. Tudor,” the driver reduced their speed.
Of course, Louisa couldn’t actually touch the clouds, but she loved gazing at the sky. The clouds, stars, and moon had always held a mysterious attraction for her.
Since childhood, she’d imagined that birds flying across the sky must feel so free.
After marriage, she and George had created a travel bucket list just for them–seeing the sea of clouds at Cloudcrest Peak in Highcrest State, counting stars at Mirror Lake Bay in Silvervale State, watching snowfall at Whitepeak Mountain in Snowfield State, seeing flocks of seagulls at the Snowlandia coast, and witnessing the northern lights illuminating the night sky in Frostholm.
But George had never taken her to any of these places.
After Vivian appeared, George took Vivian to many destinations, forgetting their promises completely.
Eventually, Louisa stopped hoping. If he wouldn’t go, that was fine. She could visit these places alone.

Lost in these thoughts, she leaned against the window and fell asleep. The mountain breeze was cool, flowing through the window and tousling her long hair.
Julian noticed, gently cradled her head, and drew her into his arms. He closed the window with a light touch.
The driver glanced back and nearly bulged his eyes out. Was this really the famously cold–blooded, woman–avoiding Julian?
The mountain road occasionally jostled them, but Louisa slept soundly.
When she awoke, they had ventured deep into the forest. All around them were dense woods.
The surrounding mountains were barely visible through wisps of fog. It felt like they’d entered another dimension–a misty, ethereal
realm.
What a beautiful place, she thought, unconsciously adjusting to a more comfortable position.
But something wasn’t right. What she was leaning against felt warm with a subtle fragrance–neither too soft nor too firm, with a certain resilient fullness. Even the highest quality car seat wouldn’t feel like this.
She turned her head in confusion and saw a white shirt. Looking up further, she saw a clean, slender neck, and then… an Adam’s apple?
She was shocked.
“Awake?” Julian looked down at her, his voice deep and calm.
Louisa closed her eyes in mortification. She quickly pushed away from him, sat up straight, and pretended to calmly fix her hair.
“Did I fall asleep?” she asked with an awkward smile, attempting to gloss over what had happened.
But someone wouldn’t let her off so easily.
“Falling asleep is no problem,” Julian said matter–of–factly. “The issue is your habit of snuggling into people’s arms while sleeping–not very professional.”
The driver was shocked again: Was this really the legendary Julian? Was he hallucinating?
Louisa was even more mortified. She snuggled into his arms? She didn’t have such a habit. She only liked hugging a pillow when she
slept.
After a moment, she finally found her voice and said stiffly to Julian, “You should just push me away, or wake me up. You could even slap
me awake if necessary.”
If she was trying to snuggle into his arms, why would he just let her?
“I don’t enjoy hitting people, especially such an excellent employee as you, Ms. Forbes. How could I mistreat you?” Julian replied with an

expression of benevolence.
The driver silently protested to himself. Such a lie. Wasn’t Julian the one who had pulled her into his arms?
