Julian looked down at her and said softly, “My Rose of Jericho has finally revived.”

The words mirrored hers exactly, with just one changed adjective, yet they carried an indescribable deeper
meaning.
Louisa’s heart skipped a beat.
When she referred to “Rose of Jericho,” she simply meant the plant itself. But when he said “Rose of
Jericho“… her instincts told her he was talking about her.
She instinctively looked up, meeting his gaze. His deep, burning eyes seemed to devour her whole.
In that moment, she almost forgot how to breathe. Something between them had changed, starting right
now.
With her heart pounding wildly, she hurriedly lowered her head and posted what he’d said.
But her trembling fingers, repeatedly making typos, betrayed her nervousness and confusion.
The first person to see both their posts was Teddy. Being connected to both Louisa and Julian, he saw two identical posts appear simultaneously.
His eyes widened. Was this their way of announcing their relationship?
Soon after, phones began ringing–both Louisa’s and Juan’s flooded with incoming calls.
In Louisa’s comment section:
Rachel: [Finally bloomed! That wasn’t easy.]
Flora: [Where’s the flower? It’s just a weed, and an ugly one at that.]
Rachel: [You might want to watch what you say. Do you want Mr. Tudor coming after you?]
Flora: [Julian gave her this?]
Sadie: [Mr. Tudor is truly exceptional. Other alpha CEO give flowers, handbags, and sports cars. He gives

books, weeds, and his life.]
After intense discussions, all their mutual friends knew about this development.

The news also reached George’s ears. Though he couldn’t see Julian’s post, Louisa’s was enough to drive
him mad. His eyes burned red as his heart shattered. Was she with Julian now?
As for Julian, who rarely posted anything online, his sudden update triggered immediate attention from his
friends.
A flurry of messages erupted in the “Julian’s Dating Progress” group chat.
First came Noah, ever oblivious: [What’s the big deal? Its just a weed, and an ugly one. Is this really worth
a post from Mr. Never–Posts–Anything Tudor?]
Wallace: [You don’t get it. It may look like a plant, but he’s obviously talking about a person.]
Noah: [Then why not just say that directly?]
Wallace couldn’t be bothered to explain further.
Julian’s cousin Dennis Brown chimed in: [What kind of exceptional woman has my cousin so secretly
proud? Can someone tell me?]
Leroy: [Could it be her?]
Wallace: [You can be more confident and drop the “coul.“]
Leroy: [Do you even know who I’m talking about?]
Wallace: [I’ve known Mr. Tudor for twenty–eight years and have only seen one woman in his orbit. So, what
do you think?]
Noah: [So “Rose of Jericho” refers to Ms. Forbes?]
Dennis protested: [So you’ve all met her except me?]
After sending that, he tagged Nicholas: [You created this group, so you must have met her too. Stop pretending and show me a picture of Julian’s girlfriend.

The photo Nicholas had previously shared in the group had been deleted, so Dennis never saw it.
Nicholas replied coolly: [Why should I?]
Dennis: [So there really is a woman who plucked my brother, that high–mountain flower?]
Finally, Teddy, with considerable smugness, posted screenshots of both status updates to the group. He was
the only one connected to both Louisa and Julian on social media.
Seeing the identical photos with identical captions–differing only in one word–caused another explosion
in the chat.
Wallace: [So this is just straight–up flaunting their relationship?]
Teddy: [You could also call it a relationship announcement.]
He then changed the group name to “Julian’s Dating Progress: 50%,” looking so pleased, as if he were the
one about to enter a relationship.
Jeffrey, who had been quiet until now: [@Julian, so you’ve really been defiled?]
Julian ignored them all. Because at that moment, a friend request appeared on his phone. He checked his
contacts to find just one name: George Capulet.
With a faint, enigmatic smile, he glanced at Louisa.
Louisa looked back, puzzled. “What is it?”
“Nothing.”
Julian said nothing more and simply tapped “Accept.”
Meanwhile, the entire Tudor family had also seen Julians post.
Adeline had just sat down for breakfast when she casually opened Facebook and saw her son’s update. She immediately called out to her husband, “Darling, darling, come look at this!”
“What is it?” William asked, sitting beside her.
Adeline handed him her phone. “Look at our son’s post. This ‘Rose of Jericho‘–isn’t this the one the Getty

William nodded. “It should be.”

Adeline was distraught. “Such an ugly plant, and he’s posting about it? Could he and that Getty boy really
be together?”
“No, no, no!” William refused to accept this, waving his hands frantically. “That’s impossible. Absolutely
impossible.”
Adeline didn’t want to remain passive any longer. She turned to her husband: “Everyone’s been gossiping
about Julian and that Louisa girl. Didn’t I ask you to lock into her? Have you found out anything at all?”
