Julian hadn’t even spoken when Teddy couldn’t hold back anymore. “Mr. Capulet, get this straight–it’s not
that our Mr. Tudor won’t take responsibility. It’s Ms. Forbes who refuses to commit to him. If she were
willing, do you think you’d even be in the picture?”
George lunged toward Julian in fury. “Julian, you stay away from her, you hear me? Even if she divorced me,
she’s still my wife. She’s not yours to have.”
Before he could reach Julian, Noah stepped between them, flexing his impressive muscles and jutting his
chin at George. “What do you think you’re doing? Looking for a fight?”
“Let’s fight then. You think I’m afraid of you?” George began removing his suit jacket, eager to vent his
rage.
Noah didn’t back down, taking off his leather jacket and tossing it to Teddy.
Just as he prepared to strike, Julian’s cool voice came from behind. “Noah.”
That was all–just his name–but the quiet authority carried unmistakable pressure.
Noah turned to his boss, frustrated. “Mr. Tudor, this guy needs a lesson.”
“We’re going to be late for work,” Julian replied simply.
Noah thought to himself: ‘You’re the boss–are you really worried about being late?‘ But orders were orders,
so he suppressed his eagerness to fight.
As they left, Julian paused beside George. “George, I stepped aside for you once five years ago. You’re the one who gave up the right to protect her. If you don’t want her to despise you completely, try acting like a
decent human being.”
George was stunned. What did he mean, five years ago? Had Julian been after his wife all this time?
“Julian, explain yourself!” he shouted angrily.
Julian ignored him completely and got into the car.
Noah and Teddy simultaneously opened the driver’s and front passenger doors and took their seats. The
engine started.

Chapter 2:39
Lovisa turned to Jolian. Thank you for just now?
Julian responded coolly, “You’re welcome”
Louisa fell silent, turning her gave to the window. During the ride, she took a call from her ride–share driver and canceled the order. Afterward, the remained completely quiet, looking distinctly unhappy.
She’d forgotten about the hamburger and milk she’d bought, clutching the burger in her hand and absently
squeezing it.
Julian glanced at it. “What did that hamburger do to offend you?”
Louisa instinctively looked at him, then at the hamburger. She’d nearly flattened it.
If you two have some grievance, tell me. I can mediate Julian said.
The two men in front couldn’t help laughing
Louisa remained silent.
“If you don’t eat it soon, it’s going to heroically sacrifice itself in your handy Julian added.
…I’ll eat it when we get out, Louisa finally replied. She didn’t want the smell lingering in his car. With his severe cleanliness issues, he d surely hate having food doors in the vehicle.
“Eat it now,” Julian said, taking the cold milk from her band and replacing it with a warm bottle from the car’s thermal box. “Drink this.”
…Thank youL
Louisa opened the bottle and took a few sips of the warm milk
The two men in front exchanged satisfied glances in the rearview mirror. That’s more like it. Girlfriends were meant to be appeased.
Now that the couple had made up, they wouldn’t have to walk on eggshells all day.
When they reached the office, Louisa went to her own office and reopened Hazel’s message. Since Louisa had used a brand–new number, Hazel had no idea who she was.

Chapter 239
Hazel’s message was simple–asking who she was and what she wanted.
Louisa had prepared her response: [I’m Mark’s friend. I only want justice for him.]
Hazel replied immediately: [I’m willing to help.]
Louisa gave her a task: find out where Mark’s body was hidden.
After all these years, even if they found it, it would likely be nothing but bones.
A ° 37%–
But Hazel had been pushed to desperation. With Vivian holding so much evidence against her, she would
do anything to eliminate Vivian.
She quickly replied: [I’ll find a way. Wait for my news.]
Throughout their exchange, Hazel never asked who Louisa was or her name. She only wanted to use
someone else to get rid of Vivian. The identity of her accomplice didn’t matter.
After finishing their conversation, Louisa put down her phone and returned to work. Her previous projects had wrapped up, so she was focusing almost all her energy on the overseas project.
Julian had entrusted her with this important project, and she couldn’t let him down.
Later that afternoon, she went to the break room for coffee and overheard a group of women chatting.
“Did you hear? Our CEO went on a blind date with Abigail Foster last night. I heard it went really well.”
“Seriously?”
“Of course it’s true. My friend works at the Foster Group as Ms. Foster’s assistant. It’s absolutely confirmed.
I even have photos–look.”
The ‘photos‘ were from a blog post Abigail had published–a table of sumptuous food and a picture of
Julian.
The women huddled around, reading the caption: [He says he likes girls with good appetites. Looking forward to our food tour at Virella Highlands this weekend.]
“So Ms. Foster and Mr. Tudor’s blind date was successful?”
“Isn’t it obvious? They’re already planning a date at Villa Highlands.”

Chapter 239
“I guess when someone catches your eye, even having a big appetite becomes an adorable trait.”
“What are you thinking? Your appetite doesn’t matter. She’s the Foster family heiress–it’s about equal status. How could you compare?”
“True enough.”
“But what about Mr. Getty? Aren’t Mr. Tudor and Mr. Getty a couple?”
“Forget about Mr. Getty. Our Mr. Tudor is straight! Besides, I thought Mr. Tudor was interested in Ms.
Forbes.”
