Chapter 330
You had to hand it to Julian–when he stepped in, things got done.
Using his name to set up the meeting, Louisa easily got face time with Rodney.
Rodney had only agreed to hear her out as a favor to Julian anyway.

Louisa immediately presented her revamped proposal.
After reviewing it, Rodney was genuinely impressed and looked at Louisa with newfound appreciation. “You created this proposal
yourself?”
Louisa nodded. “Yes.”
Rodney couldn’t help but sigh. “That Julian kid really has an eye for talent. He manages to recruit all the best people.”
Louisa smiled. “You’re too kind, Mr. Moss. I’m just lucky to have a boss like Mr. Tudor.”
That response completely shut down whatever Rodney was planning to say next.
He’d been about to tell Louisa that if things ever didn’t work out at the Tudor Group, she should remember to come to the Moss Group.
But after what she’d just said, Rodney couldn’t very well make that offer.

As Louisa was leaving, Rodney added one last thing: “Tell Julian he still owes me dinner. Next time, you should both come to my house
and help me finish that meal.”
“Of course,” Louisa agreed.
The new partnership went through smoothly, and Rodney dropped the whole five–point thing entirely.
They signed the new contract on the spot.
Once she was back in her car, Louisa didn’t start the engine right away. She pulled out her phone first.
She’d put it on silent during her meeting with Rodney.
Now she needed to check for any important messages.
What she found was a string of texts from Teddy:
[Louisa, how did it go? Think it’ll work out?]

I haven’t told Mr. Tudor about you going to see Mr. Moss alone yet. He didn’t come in this morning, and all his work got pushed to this afternoon. Back–to–back meetings–I haven’t had a chance to talk to him.]
[If you pulled it off, I won’t say anything. Just come back and surprise him.]
[Louisa, are you heading back yet?]
Louisa couldn’t help but laugh. Teddy was clearly terrified of his boss.
She was about to text him back when Sadie’s call came through.
Louisa answered Sadie’s call first. “Sadie, what’s up?”
“Good news, good news! Louisa, I’m telling you–no wait, starting today, I need to use your proper title. I should be calling you ‘secret
boss lady.”
It was rare to hear Sadie this flustered.
Louisa started her car while laughing. “Maybe you should take a breath and organize your thoughts before you tell me what happened.”
Sadie was definitely having trouble getting her words out–she was too excited.
She’d just gotten back to the law firm from outside and drank half a glass of water before continuing. “Guess where I just was? Three major clients showed up at the same time, each wanting to sign a partnership deal with our firm.
I thought they were just messing around at first, but when I got there, I found out Julian had referred all of them.
Mr. Tudor is giving our firm projects this big–it’s definitely because of you. I’m not being ridiculous, calling you ‘secret boss lady,‘ am I?”
Louisa was stunned. “What’s going on? Why would he refer clients to you?”
Sadie said, ‘I think it’s because Mr. Tudor never accepts favors without returning them.”
Last night, Louisa had gone to Sadie’s house for dinner–completely normal–except Julian had ended up going too.
Louisa didn’t get it. “Just one dinner, and he refers three major clients to you?”
Sadie replied, “How would I know what goes through his head? If I could figure out how big shots think, I’d be a big shot myself.
But either way, Mr. Tudor referring this many clients to me–enough work to keep my firm going for five years–1 need to thank him properly. You go thank him for me.”
Louisa said, “He referred them to you, not me. Why should I be the one thanking him?”

Sadie shot back, ‘Come on, since when do we draw lines like that? What I earn is what you earn, what I owe is what you owe, just go.”
Louisa laughed. “Sadie, are you being reasonable right now?”
The two of them chatted and joked around.
Louisa didn’t want to waste brain cells trying to figure out Julian’s motives. She’d never been able to read his mind anyway, so she might as well save her energy and just ask him directly when she got the chance.
With that thought, seeing that Sadie didn’t have anything urgent to discuss, she was about to hang up and call Julian back.
Just then, a pink Cayman suddenly sped past, scraping against her car.
“What the hell!”
Louisa jumped. “Is this person insane?”
Sadie asked, “What happened? Where are you?”
Louisa was about to respond when she saw the pink Cayman ahead, driving erratically, as if the owner didn’t know how to drive.
At an intersection, the pink Cayman actually hit an elderly woman and didn’t even stop–just kept going.
The woman who’d been hit was with a young girl, and the girl started chasing after the pink Cayman.
But human legs couldn’t compete with a car’s speed.
“This person is out here being a menace to society.”
Seeing this, Louisa didn’t hesitate. She floored the gas pedal and took off after the pink Cayman.
After running two red lights, Louisa was almost caught up when a silver McLaren passed her and smoothly cut in front of the pink
Cayman.
The Cayman couldn’t brake in time and crashed right into the McLaren’s rear end.
Louisa, following behind the Cayman, managed to brake just in time.
Fortunately, it wasn’t rush hour, so there wasn’t much traffic on the road.
The pink Cayman’s reckless driving had scared plenty of people on the street, and they were all furious at the car.
Now seeing it forced to stop, quite a few pedestrians gathered around and started yelling at whoever was inside.

Louisa had been planning to get out, but seeing the scene, she stayed put to see what would happen.
The person in the Cayman wasn’t getting out, though–maybe they were intimidated by all the angry shouting outside.
Then the person from the McLaren got out.
It was Noah.
Noah first walked past the pink Cayman and peered inside.
He’d been furious too–people who couldn’t drive properly had no business being on the road, endangering lives.
But after looking for a moment, his angry expression shifted to confusion.
Louisa didn’t know what was going on, so she got out and walked over to him. “Noah, what is it?”
Noah looked at her. “Ms. Forbes, I think the person in that car might be mentally disabled.”
