Chapter 339
Marlee hurries over to Satan.

She’d originally thought she might pet the dog, play with him a bit. Now she doesn’t dare linger even one second. She quickly pours out
the food, sets it in front of Satan, and bolts.
Stay one more second, and she’ll drop dead.
When she leaves the 36th floor, she even forgets to say goodbye to Teddy.
Thinking back, her boss is so much better. Louisa never loses her temper with her.
She truly doesn’t know how people under Julian survive.
Little does she know, the executive office staff are sharp operators.
From the moment Marlee appeared, fed the dog, and left, the secretary pool watched the entire thing.
The second Marlee’s gone, they start gossiping.
“That Marlee–isn’t she just some junior assistant in the investment department? She gets to come up to the executive office? And Mr.
Tudor let her feed Satan?”
“Right? I literally just asked Mr. Tudor if Satan needed food, and he said no. But now he lets Marlee come up? Who does Marlee think she
is?”
‘Who is she? She’s lucky, that’s what.”
The more they talk, the more indignant they become.
A more senior employee can’t help but snap, “You idiots. What is Marlee? She’s just an assistant to a deputy director. If she’s here, it’s obviously because Ms. Forbes sent her.”
“Haven’t you noticed Mr. Tudor’s been in a foul mood all morning? Ms. Forbes and Mr. Tudor must’ve had a fight. Ms. Forbes refused to come up, so Mr. Tudor is in a bad mood.”
Everyone’s eyes widen in shock. ‘Ms. Forbes has that much nerve? To fight with Mr. Tudor?”
The senior staffer continues, “According to rumors, Mr. Tudor recently went to Virella Highlands for a blind date with Ms. Foster. Ms. Forbes went after him and competed with Ms. Foster.”
“In the end, Mr. Tudor chose Ms. Forbes. Then our Mr. Tudor and Ms. Forbes together drove Ms. Foster away.”

Chapter 339
…
:
“Ms. Foster’s friends were furious. They took photos and posted them in their socialite circles, collectively condemning Ms. Forbes. The things they said were really nasty.”
“What could they even say?”
‘I think Ms. Forbes is a good person. And so what if she went to compete? She’s already divorced. Our Mr. Tudor is unmarried too. Two
single people–if the boss chose her, it means he likes her.”
“That’s the logic, sure. But our Mr. Tudor’s family background isn’t something just anyone can marry into. Whether she ends up a mistress
or actually marries into wealth–that depends on Ms. Forbes’s skills.
Meanwhile, at Dreamscape Club.
Louisa and Erica are nearly done with their meal, but the contract still isn’t signed.
Erica’s already had quite a bit to drink.
Knowing Louisa has a sensitive stomach and can’t drink, she’s been blocking drinks meant for her, too.
Louisa knows this can’t continue.
hat sly man across the table wasn’t exactly refusing to sign the contract. He just wants to sleep his way through the deal.
Originally, he wanted Erica. Now, seeing the prettier Louisa, he’s redirected his attention to her.
His hints are getting more and more explicit. He’s practically spelling it out.
Louisa despises this kind of workplace harassment the most. She’s gradually losing patience and wondering whether she should drop
Julian’s name.
But how to use it–she needs to think about that.
She’s mentally organizing her words when her phone buzzes.
Perfect timing–Teddy’s calling.
Louisa doesn’t hide it. She answers right in front of everyone. “Teddy, what’s up?”
Teddy: ‘I heard you’re at Dreamscape Club. Mind bringing me back some lunch?
He proceeds to list several dishes.

The more Louisa listens, the stranger it seems. Why does this taste profile sound so much like Julian’s?
Louisa decides to just ask directly. “Teddy, is Mr. Tudor available? I’d like to speak with him.”
