Chapter 341
Compared to her, Tolian was far more compared.
One hand supported her waist, lending her strength, while the other gently stroked her brow.
He looked down at bet. Go rest in the lounge for a bit.”
She refused without hesitation.

What would going to his lounge even mean?
She pushed him away and bolted, as if afraid she wouldn’t be able to leave in andther second. But whether from guilt or something else, her heel slipped
and she twisted her ankle.
Teddy happened to pass by and caught her arm. “Are you okay?”
I’m fine, I’m fine.”
Louisa left without looking back.
Teddy stood there, puzzled. Why was Louisa running?
This thirty–year veteran bachelor couldn’t figure it out–had things been smoothed over or not?
Teddy entered Julian’s office with some trepidation.
The oppressive atmosphere that had lingered all morning had mostly dissipated.
Julian’s mood had improved considerably.
He sat back at his desk, phone in hand, dialing a number.
Teddy couldn’t help but marvel–love really was powerful.
His boss had been appeased just like that.
Teddy’s mood lifted, too, his tone becoming much lighter. “Mr. Tudor, I’ve looked into what happened at lunch. The Cooper Group’s contract with the Tudor
Group is up for renewal, but those people are holding up the signing over minor issues–probably giving Erica a hard time. Erica had no choice but to turn
to Louisa for help. After Louisa went with Erica, they did sign the contract, but those Cooper Group representatives gave Louisa a hard time, too. Aren’t you
going to stand up for her?
Julian gave him a lukewarm look. “You sure worry about a lot.”
Teddy fell silent.
Wasn’t he just trying to help Julian and Louisa work things out?
For his boss’s romantic future, being this assistant was no easy job.

Chapter 341
Why wasn’t he being praised, but mocked instead?
While Teddy sulked, Julian’s call connected.
Peyton Cooper’s hearty laugh came through the phone. Mr. Tudor? Are you actually calling me yourself? Guess those rumors are true after all
Julian: “Still in the mood to follow gossip? Sounds like Mr. Cooper has plenty of fee time.
The casual tone revealed no emotion, yet carried a dangerous edge.
Peyton laughed apologetically. “My people didn’t know better–can’t believe they ared offend your people. I’ve already fired them. Please, let it go.”
“Can’t do that.”
The cool words dripped with frost.
Peyton: “You shark. Have to squeeze me dry? I’ll give you another twenty percent of the new project’s profits. Is that sincere enough?”
“Have the contract ready.”
Julian hung up.
Teddy stared in shock.
He’d long known his boss had a ruthless streak, but wasn’t this too much?
Julian set his phone aside and glanced up. “Got a problem?”
“No, no.”
Teddy didn’t dare speak, terrified he’d become the next target.
Julian: “Tell Louisa this project is hers to handle.”
Teddy thought: You’ve already paved the way yourself–it’s just signing a formality now, yet you’re handing it to someone else to handle.
Julian needed excuses just to give his girlfriend a little benefit.
Back in her office, Louisa’s ankle started throbbing intensely.
She iced it, which let her walk somewhat, but the pain wouldn’t ease.
Marlee noticed something was wrong. ‘What if you damaged the bone? You shou get it checked at the hospital.
Louisa: “Okay, I’ll go after work.”
“That’s three hours from now. Better not put it off. I know this amazing massage therapist–does incredible work. Let me send you the address.
Marlee immediately pulled out her phone and sent the location.
Louisa thought it over. She didn’t have anything urgent this afternoon–just reviving project materials, which she could do at home.

Chapter 341
With that thought, Louisa gathered her things and left early.
When Teddy came down with the Cooper Group project files, they just missed ea other.
After asking what happened, Teddy said nothing and headed back upstairs with files.
Julian had just stepped out of his office and saw the files in Teddy’s hands. ‘Why idn’t you give them to her?”
Teddy: “She wasn’t there. Marlee said she twisted her ankle–it looked pretty bad she went to the hospital.
Before he’d even finished speaking, the temperature around him dropped.
Teddy cautiously looked up to find his boss’s face frozen with frost.

Teddy quickly added, ‘She probably didn’t mean not to tell you. You know how sis–fiercely independent, never asks for help. I heard from Marlee that
she even refused a ride to the hospital and drove herself.”
Julian gave him a cool look. ‘You seem to know her pretty well.”
Teddy laughed nervously. Louisa wasn’t that hard to figure out, right?
Julian turned back to his office, pulled out his phone, and checked her location-
Massage therapy clinic.
Inside the clinic.
Since it was during work hours, it wasn’t crowded.
After waiting about ten minutes, it was Louisa’s turn.
She sat down on a couch.
The massage therapist was an older man named Andy Murphy.
Andy examined it. “The bone’s fine–not too serious. I’ll rub some medicated oil on it. Apply some ointment, and you’ll be good in a few days.”
“Thank you.”
Louisa thanked him.
Andy got up to get the medicated oil.
Bored, Louisa pulled out her phone to kill some time.
Just then, someone else approached.
Without looking for Andy or saying a word, the person sat down right next to Loisa, bringing a chilling presence.
Louisa glanced over casually,
