Chapter 342
That’s right–it was George.
Louisa had no desire to acknowledge George. Treating him like a stranger, she thed her head away coldly.
George felt a pang of hurt at her expression, but he wasn’t angry. He still greeted her. ‘What a coincidence.”
Louisa treated him like he was invisible, head down, scrolling on her phone.
But her mind raced. Running into him at the breakfast shop by the apartment buding this morning–that might have been a coincidence.
But now?
Was George seriously not working today, just stalking her outside the Tudor Group Building?
This was terrifying.
A cold sweat broke out on her skin.
What the hell did this bastard want?
Every time she thought he’d finally stop bothering her, what happened?
This bastard was like a goldfish with a three–second memory. He’d turn around, forget everything from a moment ago, and come rushing back.
She wanted to smash his head in.
Just then, Andy returned with the medicated oil.
Seeing another customer–a young, handsome man–he asked, “Sir, what seems to be the problem?”
George looked at Louisa’s ice–cold face, feeling all kinds of wrong inside. “My heart’s not well.”
Andy’s mouth twitched. He glanced at the oil in his hands and asked George, “So
should I rub it for you too?”
Louisa, who’d been in a foul mood, nearly burst out laughing at Andy’s words.
George’s face darkened as he glared at Andy.
Andy felt awkward, looking between George and Louisa.
Louisa spoke up then, addressing Andy. I’m not in a rush. Treat him first. Otherwise, if it’s too late, we’ll only be able to send him to the morgue.
Andy fell silent.
Even as an old man who didn’t understand romantic affairs, he could tell these to had some kind of conflict.
So he didn’t respond to Louisa’s comment or acknowledge George further. Instead he sat down across from Louisa.
“This might hurt a bit. Try to bear it.”

Chapter 342
As Andy spoke, he poured oil onto his hands and began working on her injured le.
Instantly, Louisa sucked in a sharp breath.
This was a bit painful?
It hurt like hell.
She clenched her jaw, gripping the armrest so hard her knuckles turned white.
She tried desperately to psych herself up: This is nothing, just get through it, hold on just a little longer…
But it really hurt.
Somehow, the self–hypnosis that usually got her through anything completely failed her this time.
George saw her furrowed brow and felt an answering ache in his chest. He told Andy, “Be gentler.”
Andy chuckled. “She’s not even complaining about the pain. What are you getting worked up about?”
George found himself speechless, his nose tingling.
Right. She never complained about pain.
Countless scenes flooded his mind.

In school, once, during a sports meet, she’d fallen from a constructed platform. A five–inch gash opened on her leg. During the stitches, her face went pale, cold sweat pouring out, but she’d bitten down hard and hadn’t made a sound.
Another time at a business dinner, trying to close a deal, she drank until she had a bleeding ulcer. Even after being hospitalized, she’d smiled and assured
him she was fine.
And when she was depressed, she’d clutched shattered glass in her palm, bright blood flowing from between her fingers, pooling on the floor–her expression still completely blank.
He didn’t understand why she had to be so strong.
Sometimes he really wished she would cry, fight with him, make a scene–let him know how much she hurt, how upset she was.
Instead of this–hiding all her emotions, keeping him from seeing.
That feeling was truly unbearable.
Louisa just gave him a cold eye roll.
Who needed his fake sympathy?
Louisa asked Andy, ‘Mr. Murphy, will my ankle be better by Friday?‘
Rachel had already made plans with her to attend a ball.
If she couldn’t go, she needed to tell Rachel early.

Andy: Move around as little as possible these few days. Absolutely no more high heels, and don’t twist it again, or the bone will he compromised. Best to come in daily. I’ll give you some medicated patches–two a day. You should be by Friday.”
Louisa smiled. “Okay, got it, I’ll definitely be careful.
George couldn’t help interjecting. ‘You’re this injured and still thinking about walk? fust quit. When you’re healed, come back to the Capulet Group
Louisa thought: Does George have brain damage?
She treated his words like hot air and said nothing.
No point arguing with someone whose brain didn’t work right anyway.
Seeing them like this, Andy guessed–probably young lovers having a spat.
So he kept quiet too.
After applying the medication, he gave Louisa a few more reminders.
Louisa thanked him, put on her shoes, and bent down to tie the laces.
Shed specifically changed into sneakers before coming.
As she tied her laces, she asked Andy how much she owed.
Before Andy could finish quoting the price, George had already scanned and paid!
His speed was astonishing.
Louisa shot him a cold look. Who asked him to meddle?
But she was too lazy to argue with this kind of person here. After saying goodbye to Andy, she took the patches and left the clinic.
George immediately followed. “Louisa…”
He reached for her hand.
Louisa yanked away quickly, her voice icy. “Mr. Capulet, you insisted on paying. you want the money, I’ll transfer it to you now. Don’t get handsy.”
Though it bothered him, George automatically ignored her words and looked toward a direction not far away. Our alma mater is right over there. Let’s take
a walk?”
He thought–she must have come to this clinic because she still cherished their ollege days.
Revisiting old haunts might stir up good memories. Maybe she’d forgive him.
However, Louisa replied coldly, ‘I’m not going.”
The rejection came without a second s hesitation.
Louisa walked around him toward her car.
Seeing this, George immediately blocked her car door.

This time, he didn’t force her. Instead, he looked at her with pleading eyes. ‘Lou, I’m sorry. was wrong this morning. I shouldn’t have said those things to hurt you, I was just jealous. Just thinking about you with Julian drives me cra Believe me, I won’t force you anymore. I won’t make you accept me. We’ll just be like old classmates, taking a walk. Just once. I promise–Ill never bother you again after this.
