Chapter 348
Louisa met Julian’s dangerous gaze and immediately shook her head. She didn’t dare treat her boss like some kind of escort.

But still, some things needed to be said clearly. She swallowed hard and mustered her courage. ‘You can’t really say that, can you? This is just… what adults
“Why don’t you just be more direct and admit you’re trying to pretend this never happened?”
‘I never said I was pretending anything.”
“If you’re not trying to pretend it didn’t happen, then what is it? Tell me!”
Under his intense pressure, Louisa couldn’t find the words. She sank deeper into the water instead, hoping to dodge the question.
Julian tamped down his frustration and sat on the edge of the tub, forcing himself to stay patient. “Louisa, you can’t just act like nothing happened every
time we sleep together.”
Louisa fell silent. Okay, yes–her behavior was pretty awful. After a long pause, she said quietly, “What if we do what you suggested earlier? I’ll pretend to be
your girlfriend, but I don’t have to mean it. Is that okay?”
Julian reluctantly agreed. “Fine.”
Then Louisa added, “But we keep it private. No going public with it, okay?”
Her thinking was simple–they’d give it time like this, and once the passion faded, maybe Julian would lose interest too. After all, men got bored quickly. When that happened, they could end things, and he probably wouldn’t object.
Julian studied her for a long moment before finally nodding. “Alright. We won’t go public.”
Louisa breathed a sigh of relief. The next second, she watched him reach for the tie on his bathrobe.
Louisa’s eyes went wide. “What are you doing?”
‘I want to take a bath too.”
‘Use the shower then.”
Julian raised an eyebrow coolly, glancing at the rose petals. “I want to take a rose petal bubble bath too.”
As he spoke, he was already untying the robe. Louisa quickly reached out to stop him. “Don’t take it off! I’ll get out and let you have the tub, okay?”
She started to climb out, already lifting one leg over the edge. The next second, he pressed her back down.
“You’re aware, right, that some parts of this planet are suffering from severe drought?‘ Julian said. “So we shouldn’t waste water resources. We’ll bathe
together.‘
‘Besides, you’ve touched every part of me. What’s there to be afraid of seeing?”
Louisa wanted to scream. This was torture.

Chapter 348
They ended up bathing together. Several times during the bath, she accidentally bumped into what was between his legs, feeling it grow harder rach time. It
kept prodding against her body…
This was going to kill her.
By the end, she couldn’t even remember how they finished bathing. By the time she fell asleep, dawn was already breaking.
She slept until after nine in the morning. Louisa woke to the sound of something–her consciousness still foggy as she lay in bed with her eyes closed,
listening to what sounded like kitchen utensils clanging outside.
She opened her eyes and stared at the ceiling for several seconds before remembering this wasn’t her house–she was at Julian’s.
Which meant that sound outside was…
Bob?
Louisa snapped fully awake and bolted upright in bed. The sudden movement woke Julian. He opened his eyes and reached for her. “Sleep a little longer…”
Louisa quickly clapped a hand over his mouth. Julian had no choice but to ask with his eyes: What’s wrong?
Louisa lowered her voice to a whisper. “It must be Bob. Don’t talk. Don’t make a sound.”
She didn’t want Bob to know she was here.
Julian fell silent, but his gaze drifted from her face down to her chest. After they’d made love in the bathroom last night, she’d fallen asleep, and Julian had
carried her back to bed.
She wasn’t wearing anything now. Her full, beautiful breasts rose and fell with her quick, anxious breathing.
Noticing where he was looking, Louisa flushed and quickly covered his eyes with her hand. “Don’t look.
Julian sighed. “I’ve already had my mouth all over them. What’s wrong with looking?”
‘Don’t remind me.” Embarrassed, Louisa swatted at him, then scrambled out of bed to find clothes.
Her clothes from yesterday were dirty–Julian had thrown them in the wash. She had no choice but to grab one of his dress shirts from his closet.
His shirt was way too big on her, like a soft, warm cocoon wrapped around her slender frame, When sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, the cotton fabric seemed to glow with a hazy golden edge. Below the hem, her long, shapely legs were completely exposed, creating a vision of pare innocence mixed
with irresistible temptation.
Julian watched, desire darkening his eyes again.
Meeting his gaze felt like getting shocked. Her heart raced. But right now, she couldn’t worry about that. She lowered her voice. “You need to distract Bob so
I can sneak out.”
This whole hit it and quit it‘ attitude really grated on him. Julian stated flatly, “I don’t want to.”
Frustrated, Louisa smacked his arm, her eyes threatening. “Are you going or not?”
Julian looked at her for several seconds before finally sighing. “Fine, I’ll go. After all, I’m not the type to sleep with someone and then pretend it never

happened.”
The pointed jab left Louisa silent.
Ten minutes later, Julian–now dressed in a crisp shirt and dress pants, looking fresh and put–together–walked out. He called Bob to the balcony.
Louisa seized the opportunity and bolted.

She was already late for work and didn’t dare waste time. She rushed home, quickly washed up, changed into her own clothes, grabbed her bag, and headed
out.
The moment she stepped outside her door, she found Julian standing right there. He leaned casually against the wall in his tailored suit, the picture of
gentlemanly elegance.
But all Louisa could picture was how fierce he’d been in bed. You really couldn’t judge this man by appearances.
Julian studied her, seeming to read her thoughts. “What are you thinking about?” he asked, his tone pointed.
“N–nothing.” Louisa’s denial came automatically. Afraid he’d press the issue, she quickly changed the subject. “What are you doing standing here?”
