Julian stood behind the counter, the sleeves of his white dress shirt rolled up to reveal the smooth lines of his forearms. He washed and chopped vegetables with practiced ease.
Louisa was used to seeing him commanding boardrooms, but watching him in the kitchen–his tall, lean frame moving among pots and pans–didn’t feel out of place at all. In fact, there was an indefinable… domestic quality to it.
This man really did radiate charm, no matter where he was. She honestly didn’t know how much longer she could resist.
She watched him, mesmerized, losing track of time until a deep, seductive voice drifted to her ear. “Ms. Forbes, seen enough yet?”
Louisa startled at the sound, whipping around to find Julian’s handsome face right there. She nearly choked on her own saliva and asked reflexively. “When did you come over here?”
“Right around the time you got completely absorbed.*
Louisa’s denial came automatically. “I wasn’t staring at you.”
‘Did I say you were staring at me?‘ Julian replied.
Caught in her own words, Louisa glared at him. Julian’s mood seemed excellent as he slipped one arm under her legs to scoop her up. I’ll give you time
tonight–you can look as long as you want. Right now, it’s time to eat.”
He carried her to the dining table. He’d made steak along with a fragrant porridge The aroma alone made Louisa surrender completely. She took a spoonful
of the porridge first, offering genuine praise. “This is so good.”
Then she kept eating.
Julian’s lips curved into a smile. “Of course. After all, I’m very good at everything do.”
Louisa fell silent. Was he never going to let that go? How long was he planning to keep bringing it up?
Julian cut a piece of beef and brought it to her lips. “Go ahead and eat. Eat plenty–you’ll need your strength to massage my wrist. It started hurting again
while I was cooking just now.”
Louisa choked on her food, her face flushing red.
‘I’m just asking you to massage my hand,” Julian said innocently. “Why are you getting so worked up?”
He poured her a glass of water and handed it over. ‘Have some water. Help it go down.”
Louisa wanted to die of embarrassment.
After dinner, Julian carried her back to the bedroom, then sat beside her and extended his hand toward her.
Louisa sighed in resignation. She placed his hand on her lap and massaged it for bit. Knowing perfectly well that nothing was wrong with him, her efforts
were decidedly halfhearted.
A minute later, she announced, ‘All done.” She moved to give him his hand back,ut before she could let go, he caught her hand in his. From behind, he
wrapped his arms around her body, playing idly with her fingers.
Louisa’s breathing grew ragged under his touch. She couldn’t help pressing her thighs together.

Finally, he pressed his palm against the back of her hand, threading his fingers through hers to intertwine them. His figs brushed her ear, his voice low and husky. Thank you for taking such good care of me, girlfriend. Now it’s my turn return the favor.
As he spoke, his heated kisses trailed from her ear downward.
Her heart hammered wildly in her chest. Her breathing grew as ragged as if she dust run a marathon. That–no, you don’t need to return any favors
“It’s fine. Don’t be shy with me… The last word melted away between their lips and tongues.
They tumbled together onto the soft bed. His kisses were gentle yet passionate, tangling with hers endlessly, deepening, tasting her lips and tongue. His hands seemed to possess some powerful magic, caressing her breasts, her thighs, he intimate place between her legs… igniting flames everywhere they
touched.
Louisa trembled, body and soul, powerless to resist. Not that she wanted to resist She held him tighter.
But just as her anticipation peaked, Julian suddenly released her lips. He pulled back slightly. “There. Favor returned. I’m going to sleep now.”
Louisa’s mind reeled. What? He wanted to back out now? Of all times?
Furious, she wrapped her arms around his neck and wound her legs around his waist, glaring at him.
Julian brushed his lips lightly against hers. “If we keep going, I ll end up taking advantage of you. Then you’ll be upset with me again, and I don’t want to
make my girlfriend angry.”
Louisa continued glaring. “I’m angry right now.”
Julian raised an eyebrow, chuckling softly. “So you’re admitting you’re my girlfriend?”
Louisa fell silent. Did they really have to discuss this right now? Too annoyed to speak, she bit down hard on his collarbone, then let her wet lips and
tongue find his Adam’s apple.
Julian nearly stopped breathing. The next second, his heated palm slid up the leg and wrapped around his waist.
Outside, thunder rumbled. Then came the torrential downpour.
Inside, the sounds of ragged breathing and soft moans continued without end.
Julian made love to her again and again, as if he’d been holding back for ages, as if he didn’t know the meaning of exhaustion, losing himself completely in
her body.
When they finally finished, it was past two in the morning. Louisa was too exhausted to move, her expression one of sated languor. She desperately wanted
to sleep, but they’d been too vigorous–her body felt sticky and uncomfortable. She wanted a bath.
Julian seemed to read her mind, leaning down to pick her up. I’ll help you take bath.
“No.” She pushed at him weakly, rejecting the offer. If they went another round the bathroom, she’d probably actually die.
But Julian ignored her refusal. He got out of bed, threw on a bathrobe, and carrie her to the bathroom. It was just a bath–he could absolutely
accommodate that.
In the bathroom, the tub had been filled with warm water Following her preferees, he’d scattered rose petals and bubbles throughout. Of course, Julian
didn’t have these things at his place–he’d gone next door to her house to get them.

He lowered her into the water. The moment the warmth enveloped her, Louisa her whole body relax. She sank deeper into the tub and said to lin Didn’t Mr Tudor say he was going to sleep? You can go now. Go get some rest.
Julian’s expression cooled slightly. This woman really had no shame about it, did he?
Irritated, he ruffled her hair roughly. Want to say that again? Used me up, and now you’re tossing me aside? You really do think I’m some kind of escort, don’t you?”
