Chapter 375
Julian gave a cold laugh. I’ll give her the explanation she deserves alright Demote her!”
“Understood. I’ll have HR issue the notice as soon as we park.”
Teddy didn’t dare say another word, his stomach churning with unease.
Teresa had said a few words to Louisa that upset her, and Julian demoted omeone just like that.
Wasn’t that terrifying?
Not to mention Teresa wasn’t just anyone–she was the fourth Miss of the Tudor family, Julian’s adoptive sister, and the daughter–in–law
Adeline had her heart set on.
How could the always proud Teresa psychologically handle this?
But then again, she had it coming. Who told her to go looking for trouble with Louisa for no reason?
Teddy didn’t feel an ounce of sympathy for her.
Meanwhile, in the private room at the club.
Louisa had no idea what had just transpired.
Though she sat there eating, she barely spoke the entire time. Unless someone initiated a conversation with her, she said almost nothing.
She ate little food but drank plenty of alcohol.
When someone toasted her again, she didn’t refuse and reached straight for her glass.
But the moment she picked it up, someone pressed down on the rim.
It was a hand with defined knuckles, warm and refined.
Her heart jolted as she looked up. “Mr. Tudor?”
Julian took in her flushed cheeks and the way her head swayed slightly. She was clearly tipsy.
His brows drew together as his gaze settled heavily on her.
His stare made her pulse flutter nervously. She pressed her lips together ad said nothing.
Everyone around them was watching.
Only Peyton smiled with amusement. Mr. Tudor, you rarely grace us with our presence. Have a seat.”
‘Another time.”

Julian wrapped an arm around Louisa’s shoulders and helped her up from Her chair. “Come on, we’re going home.”

Peyton’s smile widened. “Mr. Tudor, not only do you refuse to sit, but you taking my guest of honor away? I still need to consult Ms. Forbes on some matters, isn’t that right, Ms. Forbes?”
The last question was directed at Louisa.
Louisa nodded. “That’s right.”
She’d been too focused on drinking. Peyton hadn’t even asked his questions yet.
Though she’d had quite a bit and was somewhat drunk, she remembered this.
Julian gave Peyton a flat look. “You’re asking my people to do work for your
He turned to Louisa. “Did you charge him?”
Louisa shook her head honestly. “No.”
Julian glanced back at Peyton. “You’re not even paying, just hoping to sweet–talk us into solving your problems over dinner?”
He guided Louisa toward the exit, tossing over his shoulder, “I’m taking he with me. Dinner’s on me, Mr. Cooper. Enjoy yourself.”
Peyton chuckled but didn’t say anything more.
Julian kept his arm around Louisa as they walked out.
Sensing eyes on them, Louisa shifted uncomfortably and murmured, “I can walk by myself.”
Julian hadn’t been holding her tightly, so she easily slipped free.
But because she’d used too much force, she lost her balance and stumbled!
Julian’s expression darkened.
The next second, he scooped her up in his arms and headed for the elevat.
Louisa gasped and pounded on his shoulder. Julian, put me down!”
So many people were watching.
Julian ignored her, carrying her straight to the parking garage and depositing her in the car.
Teddy, who’d been waiting below, quickly opened the car door for them.
After both were inside, Teddy closed the door.
Those two clearly had issues to work out–he didn’t dare get in the car with them.

Louisa’s head felt fuzzy, but her mind was clear.
She could tell Julian was angry. She said nothing, leaning against the window in silence.
His heavy gaze bore into her. “When you’re upset, you’d rather run out and drink than talk to me. Louisa, do you even see me as your
boyfriend?”
Louisa fell silent for a moment, then answered quietly, “No.”
His chest tightened. He pulled her around to face him.
“What did you just say?”
Louisa was already in a bad mood.
His mother and his mother’s chosen daughter–in–law had both come after her, and now he was interrogating her?
She decided to say everything on her mind. “Didn’t you say I could do things my own way, that I didn’t have to be responsible? I’ll be honest
with you–I don’t see you as my boyfriend. I’ve got money, I’m single, and I’m free. Why would I create problems for myself? I’m not a
masochist.”
Julian was momentarily speechless.
He stared into her eyes for a long while before finally asking, “You won’t listen to a word I say, but you care about what others tell you, don’t
you?”
“Says who? I don’t care. I don’t care about anything. I don’t care about them, and I don’t care about you either. If you can handle this arrangement, we’ll continue. If you can’t, we’ll end it. Neither of us loses.”
That statement successfully set Julian off.
He yanked her into his arms, his angry kiss descending and firmly sealing er lips.
Louisa froze for a moment but didn’t struggle. Her arms even wound softly around his neck as she kissed him back.
Only when Julian had his fill did he release her lips, though his arms remained wrapped around her.
His eyes were like dark ocean whirlpools pulling her in as his voice came at low and heavy. Who says neither of us loses? I’m losing big time. You’ve stolen everything from me. If you dare run, I’ll find you no matter where you go.”
Louisa blinked, then muttered indignantly, ‘What are you even talking about? What did I steal from you? I don’t owe you a single penny. And I’m not running away. We can keep this arrangement going until you getnied or engaged.”
Julian’s gaze turned ice cold.
For a long time, he just looked at her.
Did she really not trust him at all?

His stare unsettled her. She simply turned away, facing the window and galing at the night scenery.
Her head felt hazy.
As she stared out, drowsiness crept in.
She didn’t know how she got back. All she remembered was being surrounded by an icy chill, as if winter had arrived.
After Julian dropped her off at home, he didn’t linger and left Cozy Community.
He was like an iceberg, a heavy storm cloud hovering around him.
Twenty minutes later.
He returned to the Tudor Manor.

if Julian loves Louisa he should give her assurance and I am sure she loves him too and not only physical intimacy needs that bring them together.
