Chapter 444
Louisa said, “Wash.”
Julian made excuses. ‘My hands are sore.”
Louisa said, “No, they’re not.”
Julian tried again. “The water’s getting cold.”
Louisa said, “No, it’s not.”
Julian was getting desperate. “You’ll catch a cold. You’ll get sick.”
Louisa said, “I have you.”
In that instant, all of Julian’s movements froze. Even the sound of his breathing disappeared.
He stared at her intently. Were these really her true feelings?
He couldn’t articulate the impact those words had on him.
Louisa didn’t really know what she was saying either. When she saw he’d gone quiet, she pulled his hand over and pillowed her cheek against his palm…
Like a little girl acting cute.
Julian’s heart softened.
He gazed at her for a long moment.
The water in the bathtub grew colder still.
She really couldn’t keep bathing.
A drunk person catching a cold… combined with her already fragile stomach…
She would only feel worse.
He pulled down the bath towel and wrapped it around her body, drying off the water droplets.
Though Louisa had insisted on bathing, once he held her in his arms, she stopped fussing and obediently let him do as he pleased.
Julian carried her out of the bathroom.
But the room was a disaster–the air reeked of alcohol, and the bathroom floor was covered in water.
If she got up to use the restroom during the night, she could easily slip and fall.
Julian thought for a moment, then decisively carried her to his own room.

Chapter 444
When she was laid on the soft, fresh bed, Louisa contentedly closed her eyes.
Julian sat on the edge of the bed. Only after watching her fall asleep did he get up and head to the bathroom to shower.
Fifteen minutes later.
He had just emerged from the bathroom when a knock sounded at the door.
It was Teddy with the sobering soup.
Julian reached out his hand. “I’ll take it. Everything’s fine now. Go get some rest.”
With that, he turned back into the room.
Teddy couldn’t help but peek inside before closing the door… Louisa’s soft breathing drifted from the master bedroom…
Teddy’s mind reeled: Taking advantage while she’s drunk? Having his way with her?
This didn’t fit Julian’s gentleman persona at all!
But Teddy didn’t dare say anything. He quickly closed the door and fled.
Julian cafried the sobering soup into the master bedroom.
He set the bowl on the nightstand, then sat on the edge of the bed and lightly patted Louisa’s face. “Wake up. Drink the sobering soup.”
“…No.” Louisa mumbled, rolling over to continue sleeping.
If this kept up, she’d definitely have a splitting headache tomorrow.
Helpless, Julian propped her up and let her lean against his chest.
Seeing her drowsily open her eyes, he lifted the bowl and brought it to her lips. ‘Drink.”
She was very obedient.
After finishing, she leaned back into his embrace, softly wrapping her arms around his waist. Her cheek nuzzled against his neck, and her hands grew restless, slipping inside his shirt and wandering toward his abs….
Julian caught her hand in time, preventing her from going further.
Louisa looked confused and lifted her head to look at him.
The light in the room was dim.
When she didn’t speak, just looked at him, her crystalline eyes seemed to hold infinite tenderness and devotion.
Then she hooked her hand around his neck, and her soft lips, still carrying the scent of alcohol, moved toward his…
Julian instinctively wanted to kiss her back…

Chapter 444
But the moment he touched her lips, he snapped back to clarity. She was drunk.
Her behavior toward him… it was just the alcohol talking, not her true feelings.
In the end, he only brushed her lips lightly. ‘Go to sleep.”
Louisa wasn’t satisfied. She didn’t let go either, instead planting a firm kiss on his lips. “Your turn.”
Julian fell silent.
His exhaled breath began to heat up as he gazed at her.
He kissed her lips again.
Just as he was about to pull away,
Louisa clung to him again, pressing another kiss to his mouth with a sweet smile. “Your turn.”
Julian was being driven mad by her teasing. Who could resist this kind of seduction?
His lips descended once more…
This time it wasn’t a fleeting, gentle kiss.
His powerful tongue directly pried open her teeth and tangled with her soft tongue.
What followed was a fierce, passionate kiss.
A tingling sensation spread through their mingled breaths.
Louisa was pressed down onto the bed.
They sank into the mattress together.
Her soft, slender waist trembled constantly under his touch, going weak. Her entire consciousness began to blur, as if floating into some ethereal valim…
Julian suddenly stopped.
He looked at her dazed, unclear expression… If she woke up tomorrow morning, she’d definitely regret this, wouldn’t she?
She’d surely think he had taken advantage of her drunken, weakened state to bully her
With that thought, the flames of desire in his body gradually extinguished.
‘Sleep. He quickly moved away from her body, lest he lose control again in the next second.
Louisa reached out to pull him back. “Don’t go. Let’s play together…”
Julian remained silent.
