Chapter 443
Louisa blinked, looking like an innocent little girl, and clapped both hands over Julian’s mouth again. “Hurry up and eat. No being picky.”
Julian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but still cooperatively moved his lips. “Alright, I’m done.”
Louisa smiled sweetly, wrapping her arms around his waist and snuggling obediently against him. “Then let’s go home.”
Julian looked down at her docile demeanor–completely gone was that cold aloofness. Did she even know what she was doing?
There was no reasoning with a drunk person.
Julian put his arm around her and headed toward the banquet hall.
The moment they entered, everyone’s eyes immediately focused on the two of them.
Julian couldn’t just leave with Louisa like this. This party had been prepared for him. Since he’d come, he at least needed to say a few polite words.
So while he spoke, Louisa lazily leaned against him, occasionally playing with his tie, then playing with his Adam’s apple, humming off–key songs under her
breath…
At least drunk people don’t understand embarrassment.

Teddy could barely watch, covering his face. When Louisa sobered up, would she wish she’d never been born?
Julian simply let Louisa do as she pleased, his attitude clear: helpless but indulgent.
Everyone else had no choice but to pretend not to notice.
But nobody was an idiot. No matter how considerate Julian was to his subordinates, there was no way he’d be this attentive, right?
Watching Louisa loosen his tie and then reach to unbutton his shirt, everyone’s eyes widened.
Julian caught her hand just in time. ‘Everyone, enjoy yourselves.”
With that, he simply scooped Louisa up in his arms and headed outside.
As he left, he shot a glance at Teddy, who was enjoying the show: You’re not leaving? Planning to spend the night?
Teddy, who’d been chatting happily with a beautiful female colleague, fell silent.
This lovely colleague had just invited him to her place after the party ended.
He’d been looking forward to some adult fun…
Now, no chance,
His heated anticipation had been ruthlessly doused by his boss’s cold water.

Chapter 443
Seriously, just because the boss got dumped, did that mean no man in the world was allowed happiness?
“Teddy, come on, we’re leaving. Noah even patted his shoulder, following Julian’s footsteps.
Teddy felt even more depressed. Fine, leave–but why did they have to drag him along? They weren’t conjoined twins.
But since he wasn’t ready to pack up and quit yet, he smiled apologetically at the beautiful colleague and hurried to catch up with Julian
On the way back.
Noah drove up front.
Teddy sat in the passenger seat, looking dead inside.
In the back seat.
After Julian placed Louisa on the seat, she climbed back onto his lap.
Julian reflexively steadied her to keep her from falling.
Louisa didn’t make a fuss like before. At first, she sat obediently on his lap, softly nestled against him.
When the car turned, her stomach suddenly began churning uncomfortably again.
She looked up at him with a pained expression. “Julian, my stomach hurts.”
Her words startled both men in front.
Teddy asked, “Should we go to the hospital?”
Noah said, “There’s medicine in the car.”
Julian looked down at Louisa. “Do you want to go to the hospital or take medicine?‘
Louisa said, “Rub it for me.”
As she spoke, she pulled his hand to her belly.
The two men in front stared wide–eyed through the rearview mirror: Had they made up?
Could they really watch what came next?
The next second, Julian shot them an icy glare. ‘Raise the partition
“Yes!” they responded in unison, both reaching for the partition button.
The back seat became an enclosed private space.
Julian let Louisa sit comfortably in his embrace while he gently massaged her stomach.

Chapter 443
After who knows how long, Louisa felt much better and drowsily fell asleep.
Julian looked down, gazing at her beautiful yet somewhat fragile face in the moonlight.
Even in her sleep, her brows were tightly furrowed.
Was she unhappy even in her dreams?
Julian gently cradled her head, leaning down slightly to rest his cheek against her forehead. ‘I’m sorry…”
He murmured.
When they arrived at the villa.
Julian had Teddy prepare hangover soup.
Julian carried Louisa back to her bedroom.

She wasn’t sleeping very peacefully. When Julian laid her on the bed, she groggily woke up again, wrapping her arms around Julian’s neck and refusing to i him leave. “I want to take a bath.”
Alright, a bath then.
Julian carried her to the bathroom, setting her in the tub and helping her out of her dress.
The zipper was on the side of her waist, concealed.
Julian turned her body sideways, searching for a while before finding that tiny zipper.
He pulled it down.
The black dress fell away like petals, lightly departing from her body.
Her delicate, soft body was suddenly revealed before him.
The alcohol had tinted her skin a pale pink. Her long hair cascaded down, complementing her beautiful form–so breathtaking he couldn’t look away.
Julian’s eyes darkened, his breathing nearly stopped, his Adam’s apple bobbing.
Several seconds passed.
He squeezed his eyes shut hard, suppressing the restlessness in his heart, then lifted her out again, turned on the faucet, and adjusted the water temperature.
