After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 450
“Mr. Tudor’s friends,” Noah spoke while eating, not even bothering to introduce their names.
But Louisa had already guessed–this beautiful woman must be Julian’s “first love,” Briar.
As for the man beside Briar, probably her fiancé.
With Julian not home, and Noah only focused on eating.
Louisa couldn’t neglect the guests.
She had no choice but to put down her utensils and walk to the living room, greeting them in a fluent foreign language.
Briar looked delighted, extending her hand to Louisa. “Hello, I’m Briar.”
Fluent English.
Louisa paused, then shook her hand. “Hello, I’m Louisa.”
If what Teresa said was true–that Briar was Julian’s first love–she had to admit Julian had good taste.

Briar not only had a great presence but was also very warm. She didn’t hide her admiration and affection for Louisa, immediately giving
her a hug.
Being hugged by a stranger, even a woman, made Louisa a bit uncomfortable.
She quietly stepped back two paces, wanting to greet the other person.
But compared to the overly enthusiastic Briar, this man was excessively cold.
Even the look he gave Louisa carried scrutiny and criticism.
Louisa thought: What’s wrong with this guy?
Briar explained, “He’s my fiancé, Orion.”
Out of politeness, Louisa greeted him. “Hello.”
Orion didn’t speak, just nodded arrogantly, then walked out alone.
Louisa was silent.

She hadn’t offended him, had she?
She was certain–this person genuinely had issues.

Briar warmly put her arm around Louisa’s shoulder. “Don’t mind him. He’s like that with me too. Every day I have the urge to slap him.”
Louisa was silent.
That was brutally honest.
Perhaps even the most loving couples occasionally had such “impulses“?
She asked Briar, “Are you here to see Mr. Tudor? He’s not home. Did you contact him?”
Louisa inquired politely.
She figured they probably hadn’t contacted Julian before coming–otherwise she and Noah would have received a call from him.
No call meant no contact.
Sure enough.
Briar said, “We happened to be eating nearby and thought we’d drop by to see Julian. Haven’t had a chance to contact him yet.”
Louisa said, “Then… would you like to call him?”
She’d originally wanted to suggest calling him herself.
But considering how Briar called Julian by his first name, they must be closer. Better to give that choice to Briar.
Briar said, “It’s fine. We’ll just wait for him.”
Louisa smiled and nodded, then accompanied Briar to the living room.
Orion now sat upright on the sofa, his posture elegant yet rigid, gloomy and cold.
Briar, meanwhile, was all smiles.
No matter how Louisa looked at it, they seemed disconnected. Was this… ice and fire romance?
Too jarring.
Though quite complementary.

Chapter 450
After exchanging a few words with Briar, Louisa headed to the kitchen to make coffee.
She’d initially thought since Briar wasn’t proactively contacting Julian, she needn’t meddle.
But seeing Briar had no intention of reaching out to Julian, Louisa reconsidered–who knew how long they’d wait otherwise.
And she couldn’t neglect her guests.
After a moment’s thought, she sent Julian a message, informing him that Briar and Orion had come to visit.
She said nothing more.
Julian indicated he’d return as soon as possible.
Louisa put away her phone and brought out the coffee.
Briar wasn’t shy at all, linking arms with Louisa and chatting continuously.
Naturally, the topic revolved around Julian.
Discussing their one mutual acquaintance was the best topic for people meeting for the first time.

Briar even brought up Julian’s high school days. “I bet he never told you–he was so popular with girls in high school, but he never dated anyone. Back then, Orion and I were convinced he must like boys…”
Louisa mentally nodded: So she wasn’t the only one who thought that.
Briar continued, “I always thought he was just reserved, too shy to discuss his sexual orientation. Once at summer camp, I secretly introduced him to a very cute boy. You know what happened? He didn’t speak to me for a month. Even worse, Orion was angrier than
Julian–he didn’t speak to me for two months…”
Louisa listened silently, finding it explosive. What kind of personality did Briar have?
She actually introduced cute boys to Julian?
Wait, hold on.
Julian wasn’t gay. Introducing him to boys–of course, he’d be angry.
Why was Orion also angry?
And angrier than Julian?
With puzzlement, Louisa glanced toward Orion with a complex expression…
