After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 451
Louisa, the actual girlfriend, hadn’t even reacted yet.
Orion was the first to show delight, quickly standing up and rushing out to greet him. “Julian!”
That speed rivaled a wife who’d been waiting alone at home for her husband’s return.
Briar remained composed, still sitting on the sofa.
When Julian entered, she smiled and greeted him.
Julian nodded in acknowledgment, his gaze then shifting to Louisa.
It must have been raining outside–his suit jacket was covered with a thin layer of mist, and his hair was slightly damp.
He removed the jacket and handed it to Teddy.
Orion stayed by his side, speaking urgently and rapidly about something.
Julian withdrew his gaze from Louisa and said to Orion, “Let’s talk in the study.”
“Alright.” Orion immediately nodded in agreement.
That close, inseparable distance, the joy rippling in his eyes–like a hunter spotting prey.
Louisa thought, who said Briar was Julian’s first love?
To her, it looked more like Julian was Orion’s first love.

She glanced at Briar, leisurely sipping coffee, then at Teddy, carefully wiping moisture from the suit, and Noah burping while gaming… Everyone seemed so calm.
She didn’t know whether to call herself oversensitive or say these people were oblivious.
That Orion was clearly not normal, okay?
Louisa’s lips twitched with an indescribable expression.
Briar noticed and asked with concern, “Louisa? Are you feeling unwell?”
“No.” Louisa shook her head.

Chapter 451
Briar asked, ‘Are you worried Julian will be in danger tomorrow? Don’t worry, Orion and I agreed—we’ll go with him.”
Louisa was suddenly shocked. What did she mean by “in danger tomorrow“?

She looked at Briar. “You’re saying this exchange meeting isn’t normal?”
“You don’t know? Briar was first surprised, then realized she might have let something slip.
She immediately shook her head at Louisa. “No, I was joking. It’s just an ordinary exchange meeting, no danger. Just follow Julian’s
arrangements.”
Louisa said, “You’ve already said this much. Don’t lie to me. I want to know what kind of exchange meeting this is.”
Briar looked troubled. “Julian didn’t tell you–he must have his reasons. I can’t tell you behind his back, or he’ll be angry.”
Louisa was silent.
The problem was, Briar had already said half of it.
Expecting her to pretend she hadn’t heard was impossible.
After thinking for a moment, she looked at Briar seriously. “Briar, I hope you can tell me what this exchange meeting is about. As for Julian, don’t worry–I guarantee he won’t be angry with you.”
Briar still looked conflicted, as if thinking it over.
After a moment, she sighed. “Actually, I’m not entirely clear what the exchange meeting is about either. I only know it’s a business association, and Orion and I both think it’s unsafe. But Julian didn’t tell you–he definitely doesn’t want you in danger. However, I think married couples should work together as one and shouldn’t hide things from each other. If you want to go, I can help arrange it.”
After speaking, she set down her cup and went to the restroom, seemingly giving Louisa time to think.
Teddy and Noah had heard their conversation. As soon as Briar left, they immediately sat beside Louisa.
Noah said urgently, “If Mr. Tudor is in danger, we definitely need to follow and protect him.”
Teddy said, “But Mr. Tudor said not to let us go. When he decides something, can you just do as you please?”
Louisa nodded silently. Right–when Julian decided something, it wasn’t easily changed.
He’d already decided not to bring anyone. If they confronted him openly, they’d likely all be forced onto a plane.
Noah suggested, “What if we follow secretly and protect him without letting him know?”

Teddy said, “We’re three full grown people, not invisible. How do we follow? Once we’re inside, he’ll definitely see us.”
Noah said, “If he sees us, he sees us. What’s there to fear?”
Teddy said, “Acting first and reporting later? You really don’t fear death.”
Noah looked at him for a moment and nodded. “I understand now. You’re afraid to die.”

Teddy was indeed somewhat afraid, but being mocked by Noah, he couldn’t back down. He immediately said, “Who says I’m afraid? It’s just
an exchange meeting–can people die there? The key question is, how do we get in?”
Louisa spoke up then. “Briar said she can arrange for me to enter.”
Noah and Teddy both looked at her.
The difference was Noah looked excited, while Teddy looked dead inside.
“Since she can arrange for you to enter, have her arrange for us two as well,” Noah suggested.
Louisa said, “I was thinking, if Noah goes in alone, he can definitely protect Julian. If there really is danger, Teddy and I going might just
cause trouble.”
Teddy nodded frantically. “Exactly, so…”
Louisa said, “The biggest problem now is we don’t know what kind of exchange meeting this is. Or, we could coordinate from inside and out–Noah keeps us informed in real time, and Teddy and I provide backup from outside.”
Teddy was silent.
Still couldn’t avoid it, huh?
Noah said, “I agree.”
The three discussed further.
Before long, Briar emerged from the restroom.
All three of them surrounded her…
Julian and Orion stayed in the study for over an hour.
