Sadie said a name.
But at the same time, the doorbell rang.
Louisa didn’t catch it clearly. She just assumed it must be Julian.
No one else would ring the doorbell at this hour.
That seductive devil–coming over late at night to offer “special services” again?
She was exhausted. She needed rest. She had to rest properly, or she wouldn’t have any energy for work tomorrow.
But no matter how firmly she resisted in her mind, the fire inside her body only burned hotter…
She’d already forgotten what she and Sadie had been discussing. She just said, “Let’s talk tomorrow.”
Then she hung up, climbed out of the water, threw on a robe, and went to answer the door.
The first thing she saw was a dog’s head.
Satan looked at her lazily, circling around her.
Louisa patted his head. “What are you doing here?”
She deliberately ignored the man leaning against the wall outside.
But Satan couldn’t talk, so Julian answered for him. “He misses his mom.”
As he spoke, Julian took a couple of steps toward Louisa. His gaze landed on her delicate, flushed skin. Water droplets from her damp hair
slid down her slender neck and over her full breasts, disappearing into the deep valley between them,
The air was thick with fragrance.
Julian’s eyes darkened, locked onto her.
Louisa felt like her entire body was on fire, but she pretended not to notice. She avoided looking at Julian and just kept rubbing Satan’s
head. “Well, if Satan misses his mom, he can stay.”
Then she moved to close the door–and met Julian’s gaze.
Julian slipped an arm around her waist, looking down at her. “I miss you too. Can I stay?”

His voice was low and husky, his palm stroking her soft waist deliberately.
Louisa had meant to refuse, but her body betrayed her.
Especially when he touched her–that tingling sensation shot straight through her brain.
Her breathing quickened.
Had she soaked in the bath too long? Why did one touch from him make her want to… sleep with him?
“Can I?” Julian asked again.

Chapter 480
Louisa assumed he was going home and didn’t ask further.
Julian got dressed, poured her a glass of warm water and set it on the nightstand, grabbed his phone, and left.
Louisa didn’t expect him to come back.
But just as she was drifting off to sleep, he returned–carrying a pharmacy bag.
