Louisa told him all about the dishes,
ミ
Bob laughed as he gave her a little lesson–those really were regional specialties there,
Teddy walked back in after finishing a phone call and collapsed against the Kitchen island, staring at the feast spread before him. He was
practically drooling.
He asked eagerly, ‘Can we eat yet? Can we?
He was starving.
Noah, who’d just demolished two apples, wiped his mouth. “When’s dinner?
Bob said, “One more dish to go.”
Ten minutes later, dinner was served,
The three starving souls were already seated. Only then did Julian stroll out of the bedroom, his clothes carrying the fresh scent of body
wash.
He had time to shower?
Unlike them–all they wanted was to eat.
Julian sat down at the table. “Go ahead.”
The moment those words left his mouth, the three “starving ghosts‘ couldn’t hold back any longer. They dove in.
Julian, meanwhile, remained unhurried, elegant and composed as ever.
At one point, he reached for some soup, but Louisa spoke first. “You’re not drinking this?”
Before he could answer, she took the bowl from in front of him.
Julian paused. “…Enjoy it for me.”
He set down the spoon and picked up his knife and fork. Just as he was about to spear a piece of steak, Noah grabbed the entire plate.
Julian put down the knife and fork again.
Then he turned his head and saw Teddy, mouth full of meat.

Chapter 479
Julian took the napkin, chuckling softly. “It’s fine. This isn’t the first time Ms. Forbes has bitten the wrong thing.”
Louisa fell silent.
Teddy fell silent.
Bob fell silent.
Noah, completely absorbed in his shrimp and oblivious to what had just happened, also fell silent.
The weight of that statement lingered.
Louisa forgot how to peel shrimp.
Bob’s face turned a little red. He used to worry Julian didn’t get it. Turns out once he does, he really goes for it.
Teddy’s mind was reeling. They say you shouldn’t let a monk taste meat–once he does, things get out of hand.
Before eating meat: Snowlandia prince, untouchable flower, celibate god.
After eating meat: Playboy.
After dimmer, Louisa practically fled.
She couldn’t stay another second. She didn’t dare imagine what kind of image she’d left in everyone’s minds.

If she tried to explain that she’d been the one seduced all along–that Julian was always like this, he’d just never had anyone trigger this
side of him before, and now she had-
No one would believe her, right?
Whatever. She didn’t care.
Let people think what they wanted!
She opened her suitcase, put the toiletries away, tossed her clothes into the washing machine, and headed to the bathroom for a bath.
She’d been so exhausted these past few days. She needed to relax.
She sank into the tub, motion til, em called Sadie.
Sadie was probably still working overtime–there was the sound of rustling papers in the background.

Chapter 479
:
Louisa said with concenm, “Why are you working so hard? Go home and rest.”
Sadie laughed. “If I don’t work, are you going to support me?”
Louisa didn’t hesitate. “Till support you. It’s not like I haven’t before.”
Sadie’s parents had died young. She’d worked her way through college and had a younger brother to support. Life had been incredibly
hard.
Even back in college, Louisa had shown her business acumen and talent. She didn’t need her father’s money and made plenty on her own. She’d helped Sadie out more than once.
Even Sadie’s law firm–Louisa had put up more than half the capital.
But Louisa didn’t mind. She’d never expected anything in return.
Sadie was loyal, though. Even without a written contract, she gave Louisa her share of the profits–never less, often more..
Sadie chuckled softly. “Alright. If I ever can’t make it anymore, I’ll count on Ms. Forbes to support me.”
“Deal!” Louisa said grandly.
They chatted while Louisa bathed and Sadie worked–motthing important, just casual conversation.
But gradually, Sadie started hesitating,, her words becoming halting.
At first, Louisa didn’t notice.
She spotted a bottle of essential oil on the shelf by the tub.
Rachel had given it to her, claiming it helped with relaxation and meditation.
So mysterious.
Louisa opened it and sniffed. Whether it helped with meditation, she didn’t know–but it smelled nice.
She dripped a few drops into the water and lay back in the tub, closing her eyes.
As the oil diffused, the pleasant scent filled the entire bathroom.……
