After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 485
Louisa fell silent.
Use Julian as a weapon?
But to her, Julian wasn’t a weapon.
And she didn’t want to turn him into one.
Sadie seemed to sense what she was thinking and tried to persuade her. “It’s just a figure of speech. Teresa is part
of the Tudor family, and she went after you for Julian’s sake. It’s only right that Julian deals with her.”
Louisa paused for a moment. “You’re right. Let Julian handle Teresa. The one we need to deal with isn’t Teresa-
it’s Hawk.”
Sadie didn’t understand. “Wait–you mean you’re not going to tell Julian?”
Louisa gave a faint hum of confirmation.
Sadie panicked. “Louisa, if you don’t tell Julian, what are you planning to do? Hawk is like a ticking time bomb.
He’s a desperate man fresh out of prison–he’s capable of anything. If you don’t let Julian deal with him, how are
you going to handle this yourself?”
Louisa said, “Then help me think–what do you think he’ll do?”
Sadie replied urgently, “Do I even need to think about it? He’ll definitely publicize everything you did back then.
He’ll make everyone think you’re heartless and ruthless, that you have no family loyalty. And he’ll drag up that
shameful past of yours…”
Louisa suddenly laughed. She started the car and drove as she spoke. “Then let him talk. After all, it all really
happened. No matter what I do, I can’t erase that past.”
Over the phone, Sadie only heard her calm, emotionless tone. She didn’t see the icy glint in Louisa’s eyes.
Louisa didn’t go to the office. She went straight back to Cozy Community.
After her shower, she lay in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling
The air still carried traces of Julian’s scent.

Several times, she picked up her phone, wanting to call him, wanting to ask if he was still mad at her.
But each time, she couldn’t bring herself to dial.
She had a feeling that she and Julian–this was as far as they’d go.
If that was the case, there was nothing left to say.
She put down her phone.
That night, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
The next day, she went to the office early.
When Julian left for work, he stepped out of his house and instinctively glanced toward Louisa’s door.
It was tightly shut.
Teddy, standing beside him, said quietly, “Noah said Louisa left for the office around seven.”
Meaning: You’ll see her when you get to the office.
But Julian’s already expressionless face turned even colder, like ice forming over frost.
Louisa was avoiding him.
He could feel it.
That woman–her heart was truly ruthless.
Louisa arrived at the office early and sorted through the work she’d missed over the past few days.
Before office hours even started, she went to the investment department.
There was a morning meeting.
She convened the team leaders.
Normally, she wrapped up these meetings as quickly as possible, covering everything in under half an hour
fast that people could barely keep up.
Today, the meeting ended, but she still sat at the head of the table, unmoving

The twelve team leaders didn’t dare move either. They sat in their seats, exchanging uncertain glances.
Finally, Erica spoke up. Ms. Forbes, is there something else?”
Het tone was cautious, tentative.
Louisa waved her hand. “No, that’s all. You’re dismissed.”
Only then did everyone begin to file out.
Louisa was the last to leave the conference room. She returned to the 36th floor.
From a distance, she saw Teddy moving in and out of the conference room. Julian must be in a meeting.
Louisa went back to her own office.

Meanwhile, Julian finished his meeting and stepped out of the conference room. Instinctively, he glanced toward
Louisa’s office.
Teddy immediately reported, “Louisa finished her department meeting and went back to her office. She hasn’t
come out since.”
Julian gave him a cool look. “Did I ask?”
Teddy felt wronged. He hadn’t asked out loud, but didn’t he want to know?
All because he was too good at his job.
Julian went straight back to his office.
Sometimes, he really hated how heartless Louisa was.
Heartless and cold–blooded.
Dido I she even think about coming to see him?
Shed said she’d make it up to him afterward.
Make it up to him, his ass.
He couldn’t even see her.

Fine.
If she wouldn’t come to him, then he’d go to her.
He stood and headed toward the door.
Just as he reached it, Teddy rushed in, looking flustered. “Mr. Tudor, something’s wrong. Heavy rains in the southwest triggered mudslides. Our vineyard was seriously damaged, and all the wine in the cellar has been
destroyed.
He pulled out his phone and showed it to Julian.
Julian looked at the devastation in the news report, not lifting his head as he ordered Teddy, “Book a flight.”
Teddy said, “There’s a flight in an hour that goes straight to the southwest, but time’s tight…”
“We’ll make it. Go book it.”
“Got it.”
Teddy hurried out to book the tickets.
Julian didn’t hesitate any longer. He headed straight for Louisa’s office.
He was about to leave on a business trip. He had to see her and let her know.
Louisa had just stepped out of her office. They met at the door.
She froze, surprised that he’d come to find her first.
