After the Affair. Falling into Billionaire’s Aims
Chapter 486
Through the phone, she could hear shouting, sounds of fighting, and things being smashed.
Louisa snapped back to attention and said to Julian, “Something happened with Flora. I need to go check on her.
Julian nodded faintly, his tone as gentle as always. “Go ahead. Be safe.”
Louisa looked at him for a few seconds.
She said nothing more and turned to leave.
Teddy approached Julian quietly. “Mr. Tudor, the tickets are booked. Are we leaving now?”
Julian withdrew his gaze from the direction Louisa had gone. “Let’s go.”
Louisa rushed to Flora’s studio in a panic.
The people who’d caused the fight were already gone.
All that remained were shattered perfume bottles scattered across the floor.
The fragrance equipment was toppled and crooked.
It looked like a battlefield–complete chaos.
Flora was disheveled too, her hair a mess. She sat on the sofa, pressing an ice pack to half her face.
Sadie was cleaning up the wreckage.
Louisa walked in and asked, “What happened?”
Sadie looked at her, hesitant to speak.
Flora waved her hand dismissively. “It’s nothing. That lunatic Della came looking for trouble. Ill kill her.
Her temper flaring, she grabbed a fruit knife and flung it across the room. It embedded itself straight into an
apple
Sadie flinched at the sight.
Della Young was Flora’s half sister and currently the most favored daughter in the Young family.

As for Flora, ever since her mother passed away, she’d had almost no standing in the Young family.
But Louisa wasn’t easy to fool.
She stared at Flora for a few seconds and asked, “You and Della haven’t had contact in years. Why would she
suddenly come to your studio and trash the place? What happened between you two?”
Though Flora wasn’t favored in the Young family, she wasn’t someone others could easily mess with either.
Every time Della tried to cause trouble for Flora, Flora turned it back on her. So Della didn’t dare provoke Flora
lightly.
Louisa knew all this.
Which was why she was certain this wasn’t just a simple brawl.
‘She’s just crazy. She can’t get money from the family lately, can’t pay off her credit cards, so she can’t stand
seeing me do well and came to take it out on me.” Flora brushed it off in a few words, stood up from the sofa, and
linked her arm through Louisa’s. “Let’s go eat. I’m starving.”
Louisa and Sadie fell silent.
In this situation, she still had an appetite?
During the meal, while Flora was in the restroom, Louisa asked Sadie what had really happened today.
She felt Flora was hiding something from her.
But Sadie also stammered evasively. “What could it be? It’s just what Flora said.”
Louisa stopped talking and just stared at her.
Sadie felt unnerved under her gaze and quickly changed the subject. “I was thinking–Flora’s cards were cut off by
her father, she doesn’t have much savings, and most of her studio equipment was destroyed. Should the two of us
pool some money for her?”
Louisa said, Money’s a small matter.”
Her instincts told her Flora and Sadie were hiding something from her
At the very least, Flora wasn’t telling the truth about why Della had come to trash the place.

But since Flora didn’t want to talk, Louisa didn’t press further.
After lunch, Louisa and Sadie went back to the studio with Flora to help clean up the mess.
Once they saw Flora was fine, Louisa and Sadie left.
Before leaving, Louisa transferred five hundred thousand dollars to Flora, telling her to use it for now and ask if
she needed more.
Flore didn’t refuse.
Louisa returned to the office.
She thought back to that morning when Julian had come looking for her before she left.
She went to Julian’s office first but didn’t find him.
Neither Julian nor Teddy were there.
Louisa returned to her own office.
After hesitating for a while, she sent Julian a message: [You came looking for me this morning. Was there
something you needed?]
No response.
Louisa stared at her phone for ten minutes before finally setting it down, dejected.
All afternoon, every time her phone rang, she immediately picked it up to check.
But every time, it was disappointment.
It wasn’t a message from Julian.
At the end of the workday, she went to Julian’s office again.

She figured even if he d gone out for something, he should be back by now
But the office was still empty.
Adela happened to pass by and saw her. Ms. Forbes, are you looking for Mr. Tudor!

Louisa nodded. “Yes, Is Mr. Tudor not here?”
Adela looked a bit surprised. He’s on a business trip. You didn’t know?”
Though Louisa and Julian’s relationship wasn’t public, Adela, as chief secretary, could naturally tell her hoss
treated Louisa differently.
So the fact that Louisa didn’t know Julian had gone on a business trip surprised her.
Louisa asked, “Where did he go? Did something happen?”
Adela hesitated, then told her about the winery situation in the southwest.
Only then did Louisa understand–this morning, Julian had come to tell her he was leaving on a business trip.
At the time, she’d been too worried about Flora’s situation to even say a word of concern to him.
She felt a pang of regret.
Back in her office, she immediately looked up news about the disaster in the southwest and the winery’s
condition.
The disaster was severe. All the wine was destroyed. Orders couldn’t be fulfilled on time.
It looked like Julian wouldn’t be back for several days.
That evening, Louisa saw Julian appearing at the disaster site in news footage.
Several times, she wanted to ask how things were going over there. But when she picked up her phone and saw
her unanswered question sitting alone in the chat window–lonely and ridiculous–she couldn’t bring herself to
send anything else.
She stayed at the office working late.
Around nine o’clock that night, her phone suddenly rang.
The incoming call was from an unknown number with no location displayed
Louisa suddenly had a premonition.
After a pause, she answered. This is Louisa Whos calling?
