After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 505
Julian smiled coldly. Then make sure they never have contact again.”
When he said this, he didn’t hide the ruthlessness in his tone.
Teddy was shaken.
Years ago, when Teresa had nearly killed Jonathan, Julian hadn’t dealt with her this harshly.
It seemed Louisa truly was his untouchable reverse scale.
Not that Teddy had any intention of pleading for Teresa’s case.
Anyone who dared to touch the person Julian cared about most was purely looking for death.
“What about Hawk? Do we leave him alone, or…?” Teddy wasn’t sure.
Julian thought for a moment. “Find him. I want to see him in person.”
That night, Louisa didn’t go back to her own place.
She and Flora both stayed at Sadie’s.
But while Flora and Sadie slept, Louisa couldn’t fall asleep no matter how hard she tried.
Since she’d decided to help Flora rebuild her family business, she couldn’t just leave anymore.
The reason she’d agreed to Adeline’s demand to leave was because she and Julian were bound to break up eventually anyway–it was only a
matter of time.
But when it came down to it, she had no plans to marry Julian. She didn’t need to be afraid of Adeline. At worst, she’d just leave the Tudor Group. It wasn’t like she needed to bow to Adeline to survive.
Still, thinking of Julian made her heart ache in waves–sharp enough to steal her breath.
She’d finally hardened her resolve. And now it seemed she was right back where she started…
That night, Louisa didn’t sleep at all.
The next day, Flora and Sadie went to scout locations for the new company.
Louisa didn’t go with them.
She went to the office instead.
Since she’d decided not to leave, she should withdraw her assignment application.

But the application had already been submitted to falian. She wasn’t sure what to do.
She didn’t know if she should go ask him for it back.
She didn’t even know if he’d give it to her. After all, this was work.
She struggled with it all day.
Finally, after work that afternoon, she called Teddy.
She wanted to feel him out first.
Teddy was silent for a moment before replying, “I don’t think he’s signed it yet. When he found out you were leaving yesterday, he went straight to the airport, then directly to the Young Villa. Today, he’s been in meetings nonstop since he got to the office. He probably hasn’t
even looked at that application yet.”
Then, in a gossipy tone, Teddy asked, “Louisa, tell me–are you not leaving anymore?”
Louisa confirmed it.
Teddy immediately brightened. “That’s the right call! Why would you go so far away? That’s just making yourself suffer for no reason. If you want your application back, I’ve got an idea for you.”
Louisa said, “What’s your idea?”
Teddy replied, “Mr. Tudor has a business dinner tonight. We’ll be leaving soon. Once the executive floor is empty, just go straight to his office and take your application back.”
Louisa’s mouth twitched. “You want me to steal it?”
Teddy said, “Why put it so bluntly? You either go ask him for it in person, or you take it back yourself. Do you have any other options?”
Teddy figured this was no big deal. Julian would never let her leave anyway. Even if she snuck in and took it, he’d turn a blind eye.
After hanging up, Louisa sat in her office, lost in thought.
Teddy was right. She either had to ask for it back or take it back herself.
୮
But if she went to Julian directly and asked, he definitely wouldn’t just hand it over. He was still upset about this whole thing. He might set conditions. He might dig a trap for her to fall into.
Or… should she just steal it?
She thought it over and couldn’t come up with a better plan.
She lingered in her office until after nine at night.
When she finally stepped out, she glanced toward Julian’s office. The lights were all off. The executive floor was empty.

Chapter 505
She crept over quietly.
She knew julian’s password.
She quickly entered it and slipped inside.
Afraid of drawing attention, she didn’t turn on the lights. She used a small flashlight she carried with her.
She knew julian’s habits. Contracts that needed signing were left on his desk. More important documents were kept in his drawers.
She started with the files on his desk, flipping through them one by one. Nothing.
Then she opened his drawers.
His drawers were tidy and organized–easy to scan.
She went through every single one. Still nothing.
She was starting to feel frustrated, muttering to herself, “Where the heck did he put it?”
“What are you looking for?”
A voice suddenly floated past her ear, accompanied by a familiar warmth.
Louisa jumped, whirling around and colliding with a pair of deep, penetrating eyes.
“You–how are you here?”
Her voice actually trembled with fright.
Julian took a step forward, leaning down to face her. He braced his hands on the edge of the desk, trapping her between his body and the
