After the Affair: Falling inte a Billionaire’s Arms
Chapter 513
Julian didn’t answer Teddy’s question. Instead, he asked Noah, “If Louisa never planned to give in to Hawk’s threats from the start, why did she go meet him?”
“Why?”
Noah was stumped.
He had no idea why Louisa had gone to meet Hawk.
Wait, wait–he felt like he was forgetting something.
Suddenly, he slapped his thigh hard, remembering.
Teddy, sitting in the passenger seat, nearly jumped out of his skin. “Can you please drive carefully? I don’t want to die yet.”
“Relax, Teddy. You think I’d let you die on my watch?”
Noah reassured him, then turned to Julian, “Mr. Tudor, I remember now. The reason Ms. Forbes went to see Hawk that day was because Hawk told her on the phone that she wasn’t the Forbes family’s biological daughter. She went to meet him because of that.”
Julian’s expression shifted sharply. He looked at the punk through the rearview mirror. “Something this important, and you’re only telling me
now?”
Noah grinned sheepishly. “I forgot.”
Julian fell silent.
Teddy fell silent.
He forgot something this important?
What the hell does his brain actually retain?
Teddy turned back to Julian. “But Louisa seems completely normal. She doesn’t seem like she’s trying to investigate her real background. Could she already know the truth about her origins?”
Julian shook his head. “She probably doesn’t.”
Teddy said, “Then isn’t she even a little curious?”
Julian was silent for a long time before sighing. She probably… doesn’t want to hurt her father.”
No wonder that day he came back from his business trip and saw Louisa, he’d felt like she was weighed down by so much like she had so many things she wanted to say.

Chapter 513-
Carrying all that inside must have been so hard for her.
Had she never even thought about telling him?
In that moment, Julian wasn’t sure symore did he even matter to her at all?
Meanwhile, in the northwest mountains, inside the small cottage.
Louisa was already a light sleeper, and in this new environment, sleep eluded her even more.
Her mind was full of the mountain project–thinking through various plans. But the more she thought, the more Julian crept into her thoughts.
And then, her mind was filled with nothing but him.
She lay on her side, staring at the pale moonlight outside the window, wondering would Julian think of her?
That might, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep well.
The next day, as soon as dawn broke, she got up and washed.

She planned to conduct a field survey. Without it, none of her proposals would be grounded in reality.
Elara prepared breakfast.
After they ate, they prepared to head up the mountain.
When several managers heard about it, they immediately rushed over to/stop them.
“Ms. Forbes, there’s nothing to see in the mountains. They’ve been abandoned for years.”
“The previous managers and teams tried everything–coffee beans, tea leaves, spices. They all died. Nothing grows there. It’s a waste of effort.*
“Plus, the mountain roads are treacherous and dangerous. Ms. Forbes, you should just go back. If something happens to you, we won’t be able
to explain it to headquarters.”
Louisa listened to their back–and–forth attempts to dissuade her without rebutting, defending herself, or stating her position. She simply kept walking deeper into the forest.
Previous teams had clearly done a lot of work here. Their crude, brute–force land clearing and planting had left once–level slopes barren and
lifeless.
As Louisa walked deeper into the mountain’s interior, she observed her surroundings carefully.
By now, the morning ist had mostly lifted. The light grew clearer and warmer.
After bypassing the abandoned cleared land and stepping onto the gentle slope of the original forest, a crisp, clean fragrance of grass and wood suddenly wafted toward her on the breeze.

Chapter 513
If–stre concentrated, she could detect a rich, layered sweetness mixed in–soft and aromatic.
This was definitely not the scent of ordinary industrial spices.
Louisa stopped in her tracks, a flickes of light sparking in her eyes.
She crouched down, her fingertips gently brushing ove dew–covered branches and leaves, identifying them one by one.
In the crevices of scattered rocks, beneath the forest canopy, along both sides of the stream–dense patches of native wild aromatic plants grew
everywhere.
Flora was a perfumer. Louisa had seen many raw aromatics in their natural state at Flora’s place. So she was certain–she hadn’t misidentified
them.
Wild eucalyptus stood tall in clusters, its branches and leaves carrying a sharp, clean, cold fragrance.
Wild rosemary sprawled in patches. There were also delicate sprigs of wild chamomile, and local mountain herbs unique to this region…
Uncultivated by human hands, they thrived wildly in the depths of this abandoned mountain–moisture–resistant, cold–resistant, tolerant of
스
poor soil. Perfectly adapted to the harsh, unpredictable mountain climate.
More importantly, compared to the artificially cultivated imported aromatic plants on the market, these native wild varieties had richer fragrance layers, purer textures, and higher potency.
The essential oils extracted from them would have a clean, unique base–carrying a natural energy and freshness inherent to forests and mountains. This was a rare, irreplaceable quality that standardized imported materials could never replicate.
Louisa slowly stood, lifting her gaze to the endless stretch of verdant mountains in the distance. As the layered natural fragrances enveloped her, every plan and proposal in her mind suddenly became crystal clear.
She couldn’t understand what the previous teams had been doing here. How had they completely missed such an obvious natural treasure?
Louisa immediately led her team back.
