William caught his wife’s pleading look and turned to his son. “Julian, whatever it is, let’s talk after lunch.”

Julian shook his head. “I’m not eating. I have things to do. I’ll leave as soon as I’ve said what I came to say.”

Now William couldn’t stop him either.

But Adeline was still the matriarch of the Tudor family. It wouldn’t do to embarrass her in front of everyone.

William tried again. “Then let’s go to the study.”

Julian said, “That won’t be necessary.”

He sat down directly on the living room sofa.

Seeing this, William had no choice but to give Amelia and Justin a look, signaling them to go upstairs.
