After the Affair Falling into a Billionaire’s Arms

The town was mostly cobbleste

narrow, fog light for cars.

At the entrance to the old town, Noah went to find parking.

Julian, Louisa, and Teddy got out.

Teddy headed off to arrange hotel accommodations.

Louisa and Julian wandered through the old town

It was early evening. The sun was setting, dasting golden light over the ancient streets. Mountains and water intertwined, wrapping the entire town in a hazy, luminous glow.

Many shops lined both sides of the main street, most already closed for the day.

Street vendors dotted the road, smoke curling from their stalls, filling the air with the warmth of daily life.

Louisa caught a delicious scent.

She tugged Julian over and saw skewers of grilled sausages, their casings glistening enticingly.

The vendor was an elderly man, smiling warmly. “Miss, fresh off the grill. Want one?”

“Sure.” Louisa glanced at Julian. “Are you having one?”

“I’m good. You go ahead.”

“Okay.”

Louisa knew that someone like him-a privileged young master-rarely ate street food.

She didn’t push it.

The vendor handed her a sausage with a perfectly crisp casing. “These are all homemade-pure handmade meat sausages. Delicious

“Great, I’ll try it.” Louisa took a bite.

Juice burst in her mouth. It really was good.

And the old man hadn’t lied-it was all real meat, quality ingredients.

Louisa took another bite, then another.

Julian didn’t eat, but his gaze rested on her face. Watching her enjoy it so thoroughly, his clear, deep eyes gradually turned heated.

Louisa caught his gaze by chance, and their eyes locked instantly.

That thick, sticky tension made Louisa’s face flush. She glared at him. “Julian, don’t even think about it. You hear me?

hilig slipped an aim around her waist, looking down at her with a h laugh. Think about what? I didn’t say anything. How does Ms. Forbes hege thinking

Louisa was speechless, her cheeks Brking.

Julian leaned close to her ear, voice low. “Or maybe Ms. Forbes is the one thinking something? I can satisfy y

“Jerk!’ Louisa swatted his shoulder, then shoved him away.

She turned back to the vendor. “I’ll take ten more. Can you wrap them up for me?”

“Sure thing!” The old man cheerfully began packing.

Julian smiled at Louisa. “Can you finish all that?”

She turned, smiling without warmth. “That’s none of Mr. Tudor’s concern. Now pay up!”

Julian chuckled indulgently, pulling out his phone. “How much?”

“Since you’re buying so many, I’ll give the young lady hers for free. The ten will be ten dollars.”

“Thank you.” Julian scanned the code to pay.

Louisa was surprised. “That cheap?”

She looked at the plump sausages, clearly packed with quality ingredients. The cost alone had to be more than a dollar each. This was way too cheap.

The old man’s tone was a bit helpless. “You’re from out of town, right? Our location’s remote. Not many people come through here. All the young folks left for the cities to work. Every day it’s just us old folks and the kids who aren’t in school yet. If the prices were higher, we wouldn’t sell anything at all. So we just charge what it costs to make.”

“I see…” Louisa murmured, her gaze sweeping down the main street.

Only now did she truly notice-this little town was hiding so much buried potential.

Authentic natural scenery. Traditional handicrafts passed down through generations. Local specialty foods, all steeped in simple, honest rural life.

If these were anywhere else, they’d be rare treasures, likely priced sky-high.

But here, with no packaging, no planning, no established commercial system, they were completely trapped in the mountains.

These people were sitting on a goldmine, living ordinary lives.

Looking at the passersby-most wore expressions dulled by routine, as if they could see the end of their lives stretched out before them. Quiet. Desolate,

Something sharp and instinctive stirred inside her.

As she walked forward with Julian, she kept glancing around, her expression thoughtful.

Julian looked at her from time to time. ‘What are you thinking?”

Tems that his eyes, hesitating:

Even without her saying a word, Julian seemed to understand.

He pulled her close, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. ‘Let’s talk back at the hoter. We’ve been traveling all day-let’s get something to eat first.

“Okay.”

Julian glanced around.

By the riverside, at a small stall, sat a sturdy figure.

Wasn’t that Noah?

He had his back to them, crouched on a tiny stool like a big dog, absorbed in eating.

Julian led Louisa over and flicked Noah on the head.

“Who-who hit me?” Noah whipped around, indignant.

Meeting Julian’s gaze, he grinned sheepishly. “Mr. Tudor, Ms. Forbes-it’s you guys. Sit down, have some pudding. This vendor makes the best pudding. I’ve already had two bowls.”

He finished the last bite. That was bowl number two done.

He called out, “Three more bowls!”

“Coming right up!”

The vendor, thrilled to have such enthusiastic customers, quickly ladled out three bowls and brought them over.

Julian and Louisa sat down and started eating.

Before long, Teddy arrived too, and the vendor added another bowl.

As the four of them ate, the vendor watched with a warm smile.

Noah and Teddy were good-looking, but Julian and Louisa were the real standouts.

The vendor couldn’t help asking, “You folks are from out of town, aren’t you? You’re all so beautiful.”

r

Louisa laughed. “Thank you.”

Julian pulled out a thousand dollars from his wallet and handed it to the vendor. ‘Could you pick up some other local snacks for us and bring them here?

“Sure, sure, no problem-but you don’t need this much. You could eat your way through the whole street for under two hundred.”

The vendor only took two hundred and left.

Only the three of them remained at the stall.

the couldn’t help but sigh. This plate doesn’t lack resources or hardworking people. What it lacks is a bommercial network to connert inside and outside it lacks a business model

As she spoke, her fingers tapped slowly on the table, lost in thought.

Julian took hold of that restless little hand, smiling. So it seems our business genius has are idea?”
